Dr. appleby is stfx best prof. She is helpful, understanding, kind and hilarious. Although her classes are a lot of work, they are very enjoyable and you get a lot out of them. For our research papers she even did research for each of us and printed out articles to give us - so helpful and sweet!

She is a wonderful prof. She is passionate about the course content, uses current issues and media examples, knows her material and works really hard to get students involved in the learning. She is patient, thorough and funny. She tries really hard to make the content as interesting as possible. Highly recommend this course and this prof.

Dr. A, is sweet, kind and loves what she teaches. It really shows through in her lectures. Sometimes her students aren't the most engaged, but its not from a lack of her enthusiasm. The course work is pretty easy, if you like thinking and expressing you feelings.

RELG120 i was interested in the class before it began, but i felt that most of what we were learning would not be applicable in our lives. the course is a relg course for nurses, and most of what we studied wouldn't be encountered unless we were doing ALOT of international nursing. Appleby is generally nice but she is sort of a flake.

Honestly, I would highly reccomend this teacher. Yes, her approach to teaching is different (letting groups of people teach each of the chapters rather than herself) however, I found teaching about the class myself was extremely helpful in learning about the class. She was very interested in what we had to say and that made me want to go to class

Terrible prof, still hasn't made tenure. She marks according to her opinion and her lectures have no academic basis (we once spent an entire class devoted to Oprah's website). It seems she will do anything to get out of teaching. The class ends up leading every lecture. I gained nothing from her class.
