Comment:

The combination of being a speak write course and being an honors class made Geog 243 a lot of work, but professor McCusker was excellent in his ability to explain information, give a good lecture, and provide feedback.

Comment:

I enjoyed this class, but your entire grade is based off of 4 extremely long papers on essay questions. You could also do media reviews, however it was difficult to find topics to write about. It was a tough class for a 100 level course. But, he was easy on the grading which was helpful with the long papers.

Comment:

Skip class, can still pass however he does give random extra credit assignments for coming to class which saved my grade. 4 exams and thats it however for us the final was optional and if you went to take it he dropped your lowest exam grade. Final is not accumulative. Great professor would take him again. Easy A if you study and go to class.

Comment:

Really knows his stuff and inspired me to pursue development. This class is easy if you show up, which nobody seems to do. At a certain point in the semester, he started giving out extra credit for attendance. I got an A on every test, and learned a lot.

His tests are insanely hard and he has no other grades besides 4 tests. Our class average for exams are Ds and he thinks that's perfectly fine. Half of our class is looking at failing a 102 class. I'm a junior and took this class as an easy class and it's my hardest class this semester. He expects you to remember every little detail for exams.

Comment:

He is very intelligent and passionate about the topics he teaches. He can be argumentative, but it simply pushes you to defend your beliefs. He is very funny and laid back, but is a tough grader. You actually have to read the books he assigns and study. I had him for three different classes, and I wouldn't say they were easy, but I learned a lot.

He's absolutely obnoxious. Doesn't care about anything or anyone, he just cares about arguing about useless political issues. Extremely unhelpful and makes the class unbearable. No matter how much you study, his exams are hard and unfair.

Exams are evils. If you really love memorizing stuffs, then you are fine. No attendance policy. There are no any assignments other than three exams. Stay away from this class if you are bad at memorizing.

If you're willing to put the effort into studying for the class, its definitely a great class to take. he lets you dropp two quizzes and one test so if you do well enough one the first quizzes and test you dont even have to take the final(which isn't cumulative). Another nice thing about him is that hes pretty funny and he knows his stuff.

He is the best professor ever. Knows what he's talking about. He really does get the class involved in all aspects of his lecture. Really helpful outside class too. If you study lecture notes and do the study guide, his exas aren't that bad. He gives you the possible essay questions in the study guide and expects you to prepare for them.

Dr. McCusker is an amazing teacher!!!! His class is soooo much fun! If you study it is an easy A. Study Guides are given out before each test and are exactly identical to the test. I would recommend this class to anyone; Don't listen to the negative post it's not true. McCusker Rules!!!!!!

Hes a big know-it-all; "hes right and everyone else is wrong" and in fact hes been proven wrong many times. Hes extremely liberal i think he hates the us and would rather live in africa. every class he seems to mention it. hes tries to say hes unbiased when u can clearly see what side he takes during his lectures. take 102 but dont take 244

He's one of the best professors I've ever had - as long as you study and pay attention in his class you'll be fine. Makes class interesting because he really knows what hes talking about and he is so passionate about it. Besides being one of the best teachers, hes also H-O-T! And the fact that he is so smart makes him sooo much cuter!

Kind of a jackass, but very easy. No need to come to class except for the random attendance points, but you can find ways around that. Quizzes and tests aren't that hard and he drops the lowest ones.
