Comment:
I really love this professor. She is so helpful, eager to teach, and obviously wants her students to succeed. Her grading standards are so clear and she really is not that difficult of a grader as long as you act interested in the class, attend lectures, and make a concerted effort to write the papers. The paper topics are super easy.

Comment:
I took the same Shakespeare class twice, with different professors, and Cerasano noticed and was like "You're not fooling me, now you have to read the entire works of Marlowe in addition to the regular class." (She's super into Marlowe.) And I was like fair enough, so I did, and I've been a Marlowe fan ever since. I had a blast with her.

Wonderful class. So interesting and just a pleasure to go to class. Cerasano knows so much and it is great to hear her insights. Sometimes comes off as abrupt but just a fabulous professor. Shakespeare with her is also fabulous and would highly recommend any class with her.

Her class literally made my sophomore year! Inspired me to change majors and sparked my interest in poetry again. Class was always funny and yes reading is a part of the class, big deal whiners. I thought it was silly to need to read aloud the texts but it helped with clarity. Would recommend her to anyone!

I came across this site by accident and I am absolutely floored about some of the negative comments. I attended Colgate in the late 80's and Professor Cerasano provided an entertaining and educational classes on English Literature and she helped me with class selection and the requirements needed for my English Major.

I found that the negative reviews on this website for this professor do not reflect Cerasano. I had no interest in english and took this course to fulfill a requirement, yet she made the material very interesting and I actually enjoyed the class. I didn't participate a lot and still got an A- so I definitely wouldn't say she plays favorites.

Absolutely terrible teacher. She is a useless advisor, a very biased grader, and a dull professor. She plays favorites during class and gives no reason for her grading. Her favorite students receive the highest grades on papers. Class is extremely boring.
