Comment:

He is the best professor that I have ever had because he is one of the few professors that truly cares about the students. He gives good feedback and he is compassionate when it comes to the material. He will explain everything in class well and tell you where to find it and even arranges time to meet up with you outside of class. He shows humor.

He does not even know what he is doing when it comes to course material. If you can take the class online, do it. He is extremely rude to students and makes class uncomfortable. On the bright side if you go to class and even he cant figure it out, he will give everyone in attendance a 100% for the assignment.

If you want to have an easy class with barely any work or learning involved, then take Hare. But if you actually want all the money your paying for an education to be worth it please take someone else. This course was a major course for me so it was extremely important and I learned nothing! He just wants to retire and breeze through the material.

Very thoughtful professor, and helpful as long as you ask. Easy to follow, and very minimal work considering it's a 100 level class. As long as you pay attention on class, and do the homework, you're going to do well on the quizzes and the tests. Not really a difficult class unless the concept of a computer confuses you. Very enjoyable overall.

Even though I am not finished his class for the semester (almost done, though), I can say he has been of my favorite teachers. The class in general isn't exactly "fun", he's very informative and knows his stuff. He uses powerpoints and gives us small labs to do and hand in for an easy grade. Tests are online but tough. Read the book thoroughly!

Really cool guy, but could be a better professor. The work is way too easy. The quizzes were open book online and for the midterm and final you just have to memorize the questions of the quizzes, so you're not really learning the material in my opinion. Nice GPA boost as an elective but if your major is CIS/BIS, I'd try to avoid him.

One of the coolest professors I've ever had at Stevenson. He likes to joke a lot but it makes for a more interesting class. I don't know how anyone could not like this guy. Seems like he's a very bright guy in general, not just with computers. Pretty easy to pass if you just show up to class, do the quizzes, and pay attention.

Easy class but boring! Makes a big stink about cellphones albeit the several times his went off during class. You'll need the book for the quizzes as they are rigged to the point where i don't think he could pass them. I LEARNED NOTHING! Rushes through material so quickly that the info isn't absorbed. Easy A if you can tolerate his stale jokes

Hare is a great guy, but probably not the best professor in the world. He goes over PowerPoints and that's it - he often skips slides of material he doesn't understand or care about to keep things moving along. Tests are open book. You can get out of the final if you do well on the one major paper and presentation.

Mr. Hare is an awesome teacher. Knows what he has talking about and he seems to have a wide-range of experience in the computer field. Fun to be around and makes boring power points slightly more enjoyable. The quizes are very easy if you use the book.
