Amazing professor with way too many qualifications to be a professor. Has traveled all over the world, classes are easy, just pay attention. Not a huge course load at all. Absolutely amazing professor!!! Even if you are not a comm major, take a class with him! Best teacher at niagara!!!!!

Murphy may be head of the department, and interesting outside of the classroom, but in it he is nothing short of boring. A lot of papers are assigned, but literally if you just hand a paper in with words on it you get an A. Nice guy, I just don't recommend him as a professor.

Dr. Murphy is a great professor. CMS230 is an easy class workload wise, but content wise there is quite a lot. Yet he is so good at teaching anything that has to do with media that it?s simple to absorb it all. The class is based around a faux company called ?Arts for Peace?, and simulating the operations side of a media company is really fun. Easy

An excellent professor. Spent entire classes watching film and then reviewing in the next class. The workload is tough (two 5 page essays and a 12 page final project), but manageable. Murphy has a deep knowledge of his field of study and knows how to teach the material.
