Comment:

A lot of people love Sears but I don't really think he's the best professor. He's a super hard grader and is rude or sarcastic if he messes up on his end with grading. So many stupid assignments and class time is useless. He seems nice outside of a class setting, but is kinda rude in class.

Comment:

Take Broc, his class is easy and you will pass with flying colors if you just show up and do the work. There are no test and no book to read from, just class participation and hand outs. I loved his class.

I've Broc for Interactive Design, and Publications. Nicest and most helpful professor I've had at TCU. Truly cares about his students. He's a tough grader but he is up front about what he expects. Great guy.

Absolutely LOVE Broc. Who doesn't?! He's a tough grader, but he tells you exactly what he wants in advance. Half the reason I took this class was to have him as a professor again. Sweetest guy you'll ever meet and extremely understanding. If you ever get the opportunity to take his class it'll be a decision you will be happy you made.

Professor Sears is so so smart, and he is such a sweet teacher. Sometimes he brought candy to class. He is hard grader though. His class wasn't mandatory, so a lot of people don't go. If you go and talk to him, he will definitely help you. Your grade will be a lot better if you actually attend.

Broc is a great fun and helpful teacher. You really learn a lot in his class and he helps you to develop professionally. I learned so much in his class and he dedicates time to give you good tips for your resume and things like that. I come to him for help with other classes and he's a good reference. His class is fair and he is a fair grader.

Interactive Communication Design. Projects are difficult and programs are tedious to work with. They do take a lot of time put into them. Broc was a fun teacher, he is always helpful. I thought he could do a better job of clarity of grading projects.

Interactive comm design was a very interesting and helpful class! Be prepared to spend a lot of time on your projects, but Broc is very helpful (he gives you his cell # so you can call him anytime w/ questions) and often will give extensions if you have problems. He is a really nice guy and you get to design your own personal website, which is cool

I learned more in this class in one week than in other classes all semester. It is not an easy class but I can get a page designed and put it on the web. I am going to take another of his classes. He is very helpful and wants you to do good. Unlike some of other teachers here he wants me to succeed not trick me into a C with tests anf lame papers.

this was one of my fav classes. i loved broc and i love design. u couldnt ask for a nicer more friendly easygoing prof. he is really nice about your designs, even if they are lacking. class is very time consuming, i wont lie. but so worth it. dont underestimate his tests, take some time to study. be prepared to spend time on your designs.good class

a very helpful and knowlegable teacher with a very good class. take this class if you have any interest in the design aspect of ad/pr at all. you will learn lots of applications for the tools you have learned like photshop and quark.

Good class, 10 designs, 2 tests. All fairly easy just study the powerpoints. Very accessable, but doesn't really help to better design. All in all, it is a really good class. I'm glad I took it, but FYI it is very time consuming--there is a design due weekly.

Good, helpful prof who always finds something good to say. Biggest problem is that he sometimes is not critical enough. Class is very laid-back and he's understanding if you can't make it sometimes. I learned quite a bit.

The lectures are a little boring, but he gives you a disk with them on powerpoint so you don't have to take notes in class. Although, it is kind of annoying that more of your grade comes from written tests rather than your design work. Still enjoyable.
