Good luck staying awake during his lectures. He is so old, you can barely understand him, and he doesn't prepare you for the exams in any way at all. Will make exam questions out of some random tidbit of information he mentioned in relation to something else. Focus on years that specific things happened. They'll end up being important.

This class is difficult if for no other reason than he is hard to hear and understand. He is very old. He bounces from one thought to another and gives no clear indication on what to expect on exams (4 of them), which is your entire grade. No book, no study guides, his online outline is useless. Find old exams online to study by, you'll get a B.

I had a really hard time trying to understand him and he's lectures. He does not give you a text book, so if you don't understand his lectures you can't just go and read the book. If you don't have any of the old exams it will be a hard class for you. Showing up for class didn't help me AT ALL. I decided to study at the end and end up with a B.

HORRIBLE Professor. Doesn't teach anything-just rambles on and on for about 30-45 minutes. There is no textbook so good luck on learning this material. Someone passed on an old test and it only helped about 50%. I went to class and payed attention but the "study guide" for class was written by him and it's more of an outline, anyways. Avoid him!!

This was by far the most boring class I have taken in my three years of school. You have to go to class because he take a point off your test score for everyday you miss and 2 points on Fridays. The 4 test were very difficult because he ramble a lot until I got a copy of the past test which he barely changed at all. No text book though.

Don't miss class because you get points deducted from your tests every time you miss. You'll have four tests, and they are all hard. His class is definitely the most boring thing I have ever had to sit through. And, in his lectures, he just mumbles on. He means well, but the class is terrible.

I'm sure he was helpful back in the day, but I'm sorry, he needs to retire. He's a great person but I can't learn a thing from him. He uses an outline that he made himself, no book. He rambles and there is no learning done here. If you want to learn, avoid at all cost. You must show up everyday or he deducts points.

I didn't learn a thing in his class. He rambles way too much. His notes are about 30 years old. He is the only one that teaches this course, so you are stuck with him.

Terrible teacher, he ramble and rambles. You never know what going to be on the test except for the outrages math problems. He sends you link after link, you don't know if your suppose to know it or he just thinks you like money and banking. Avoid this class if you can

I had him for money and banking and cant stand him. he is EXTREMELY boring and rambles throughout the entire class period. You never know where he is in the notes and skips around alot. Don't have a book for the class. DON'T TAKE HIM!!! (unless you wanna retake the course next semester)

Dr. Throckmorton is fair and all the tests are multiple choice. Not a hard class and attendance is optional. Kind of boring but an easy B. Take good notes and you don't need a textbook he has an outline guide. There are some old tests floating around if you can get one it definately helps...

Pretty hard class, He gives you an outline at the start of the class and teaches with that guideline but is all over the place. He used to use the same tests ever semester but i think he found out about it and changed them because that wasnt true this semester. His tests will have multiple questions over stuff that he may have mentioned once.

Comes in and just talks, class only lasts about 30 minutes every time, but thats about all you can take because its so dull. Tests are not that difficult if you study, but his notes are so over the place that its hard to know what to study.

You need to be able to take good notes in this class because he just comes in and talks for 45 mins. Try and get a hold of old test and that will help you out the most.

Bounces around from topic to topic, doesn't give power point slides, and rarely writes on the board. You must be a great note taker. His old test are floating around out there, they are a must!!! since he canges only 30% each year. He is a really nice guy, just not the best teacher.

Money & Banking is insanely easy. There are 3 of his 4 tests, including the final floating around. He has added about 5 new questions to each test, but that's mainly to old data. Study what he says in class. I only had 2 of his old tests and I still made a B in there. Another bonus: he made the book you study and it only costed $4.

Hard multiple choice tests and you don't have anything to study unless you can understand his jargin. You do get out of class early but at least 50% of the class fails.

He did give us extra credit, for an exam and a paper to be added to the final grade in the class. The tests are no more difficult than any other econ class. My only complaint is that sometimes you can't read his handwriting on the board, But it isn't like you have too many notes anyways. Class is usually short, and 1/2 of class is him rambling.
