He really cares about his students and is willing to help them succeed. textbook is not used for anything & also does not go into depth with topics that you need. I wish he gave more opportunity to boost grades, such as quizzes or homework. Grades only consist of lab work/exams and lecture exams. Very difficult course but not impossible to do well

He would always push me to do better and knew that I can do better. Always there when I needed help and studied with me when I did not have anyone else. Great professor.

One of the most helpful professor's at Utica College, at the beginning of the semester keep up with the course work because it will only get more difficult and STUDY like really study for the exams because he really tests to see how well you understand the course material and not how much of it you memorized.

Dr. Buchanan is a great professor. He is there for his students whenever they need any helpadvice and is willing to put a lot of his time and effort into helping you succeed, as long as you are willing to do your part. He is very approachable and is great for help during his office hours. You must put a lot of time and effort into this course.

His tests are difficult because they ask you to APPLY your knowledge on the subject, not just memorize, but Buchanan is very interested in the topics he teaches which in turn makes you interested. He is very good at making time for you if you ever need help and assesses all of your questions. don't be afraid to ask during class

took this course last year. only lectured. no homework/quizzes, only tests/lab. this course was really hard for me. didnt use the book unless it was for your own studying. knows what he's talking about but sometimes rambles and brags.

doesnt use the textbook during lecture. only uses powerpoints. tests from the powerpoints. kind of a boring class. make sure you study or you wont do well. only gives about 4 tests during the semester, not quizes or handouts. knows what he's talking about though.
