I had Bud for both PS 11 and 14. Bud is really funny, you'll definitely laugh at the things he says/does. Sometimes unclear about assignments, especially in PS 14. Wants you to get the "big picture." Loves to talk about Illinois (which is fine since i'm from IL) and golf, and religion and politics (of which he is very knowledgeable).

By far one of the best classes I've had at Furman. It's good they're making it a requirment for the major now. You learn a lot and it teaches you stuff you can use in other classes, such as analytical and writing skills, while not breaking your back to learn them! Very fair grader. Fun guy too!

He does not play favorites. He simply wants to challenge you mentally as much as possible to show you the science side of political science. He's got a great since of humor too and is really nice to talk to if you give him the chance.

he is the only professor i know who mocks students who say yes sir to him as being suck-ups. if you have feelings, don't take him. he also makes quick favorites and tends to give them the best grades. be prepared to like the 3 Bs

Definitely has favorites... He attempts to be entertaining, but I have to say it comes off boring in the morning hours. :( Study hard and LEARN the vocabulary and cases as you go... If not, I think you're doomed. :)

Awesome guy....might turn some students off with his constant religion discussion but he really "gets it".Actually has some relevant things to say and says some things people need to hear as well. Kind of rambles in his lectures, though.

AWESOME! That's all there is to it. He's incredibly knowledgeable, very funny, and goes out of his way to teach you what you need to know. Fun to converse with after class as well. Buy him Masters tickets and you're guaranteed an A for the course! :)
