I love this man. He is an absolute genius. Dr. Atalay loves to tell stories in class that are very interesting. He's such a cute old man. I just want to hug him. Class is pretty easy, and he scales the final grade. Definitely take him!!

Professor Atalay is absolutely brilliant, without a doubt. But he is admittedly a theoretical physicist. If you're bad at physics or calculus, DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS! If you're willing to take time outside of class and basically teach yourself, then take it. Labs are easy, lab write-ups take some time but aren't hard. BE ABLE TO MEMORIZE A LOT!

He is very nice and interested in what he is teaching. He qualifications are amazing. You will learn some really interesting facts. The only problem is that his tests are next to impossible, he goes over stuff like 6 times (a lot of which doesn't need to be gone over), and tends to lose everyone (sometimes including himself) in lecture.

Easy class if you've taken calculus BEFORE taking this class. I would not recommend taking this class if you have no prior knowledge of calculus. It just makes everything a lot more clear. Book is not necessary, have never cracked it and I'm getting an A. Go to class though, because everything is based on that. Easy WI because of lab notebooks.

Atalay kind of sucks. Sure, it's easy to memorize everything, because your tests are mostly going to consist of writing out your notes, which you memorized, on the test page. Most of the stuff you memorized, though, you're going to have no idea what it means. Important Note: Do not buy the textbook.

One of THE BEST LECTURERS EVER!!! u'll never dread coming to this class, he's interesting, witty, and does a great job at making physics seem doable if not easy. He tells you what u need to know for exams and is always very encouraging and helpful.

great stories. you'll eventually know something about da vinci. tells you what's on the test, his writings on the board gets confusing sometimes. if you're not very confident about science, you might think it's hard. but he's there to help.
