Evers is the epitome of the old aphorism, "Those who can, do... Those who can't, teach." He hasn't worked in professional media since pica poles were a new technology. If you want to hear a lot about his son's baseball career or his photography at the Muskogee Daily Phoenix in Oklahoma, take his classes. Otherwise, watching paint dry is preferable.

He is old school, but he knows what he's talking about. Has a tendency to ramble and underestimate your intelligence (For instance: spent an hour talking about how to open and save pics in photoshop). He is supportive and will do all he can to help you if you need it. His lectures are dry and three days of lecture usually can be condensed in one 20 minute lecture.
