She's a good instructor when it comes to specific directions and things that need to be done. She explains her lessons very well.. Although, she's takes her lessons to a personal level that students don't deserve. Her definition of "professionalism" can confuse the students with what SHE thinks is best versus what is overall the best choice.

Most student fear her, but good students love her. She is a tough but fair. It may be a little frustrating for more experienced students to take entry level courses because she breaks it down and presents it for beginners. Follow her process and instructions to the letter and you should have no problems. Remember she is the instructor and you aint

She will very clearly state when projects are due and when they'll be handed back yet has trouble handing them back on schedule. This wouldn't be so annoying if she weren't so hard on her students to be professional and on time. Way too hard when critiquing students work, especially since this is an introductory course. Take a different instructor.

This teacher takes graphic design too seriously like it's your life. She also grades the process and not the final product. It's a process for a reason. It'll get better. She also expects you to just know what she's thinking and she kills your creativity by turning your work into what she wants it to look like or its not good enough. She gets an F.

One of the best teachers i have ever had. Give clear deadlines and instructions, her class is like a taste of the real world and if your not ready it will show and you will fail. If you are serious about your education she is the right teacher for you.

Worst teacher ever! I actually enjoyed going to school till it came time for her class! Do yourself a favor and pick a different instructor. She treats her students poorly, I would rather go to prison than back to her class. After the 3rd week I couldn't keep my mouth shut any longer and dropped.

Worst teacher I've ever taken. Putting blame on the students if she doesn't return a material that she has. We are in school learning not your employee. She treats her students like she's paying us to do the work. No wonder so many people dropped her class within 2 weeks. I do not recommend taking her or your GPA will suffer a huge hit.

Sue Youngblood was the best instructor at the school. She IS hard. Typography IS difficult. You miss a deadline, you fail. Same as the real world. AIA would have been a much better school with more instructors like her.

Um... Where should I start. I have never had such a difficult teacher. Prepare to fail. I have always been the most organized and anal person ever and I do my work. This is the only class I could not possibly do well in. I tried over and over again. "F" after "F". Prepare to never be good enough.

Difficult. Projects can be cloudy. Don't expect to slap a final project together if you don't show process. Pretty much going to say if you don't follow step-by-step, you will fail. Don't slack in her class or you will fail. Don't be a terribad.

Typography will be useful to most majors later in their program, and Sue makes that clear. She has a method that will cover the most detail and somehow glue it to your brain.

Sue is a really good instructor. Teaches early typography... pay attention in this class. It may seem useless during your first few QTRs, but the information is valuable in your later QTRs.

If you want to know your stuff in typography, take her class. If you want to see her work, go to the stadium here in Atlanta and look around. She is very knowledgable, but has ZERO tolerance in the classroom. Late project? Dog ate your homework? YOU FAIL. Period. No whining, no crying. If you want to be a slacker, look elsewhere.
