He was my teacher a few years back and was the best math teacher at PSU Altoona. I had taken Calc 1 with a prof who was supposed to be 'easy' and it was horrible. Took second semester calc with Dr. Hurd and thought he was excellent.

As long as you do the problems he assigns you will definitely get an A in his class. There is one down side though. You can't really hear him during the classes( it is almost impossible if the a/c is on) so you have to follow from the board and understand.

Best math teacher ever...but boring...very boring. If you aren't a raging idiot then the class is easy...you just have to do the book problems that he assigns. If you pass his class you will be so far ahead of any other students that had different profs

Worse math teacher I have ever had in my entire life. Talked to the chalkboard the entire time and didn't know anything that wasn't in the book. One time I failed an exam because I put a box around my answer instead of a circle.
