Many many moons ago I had a problem with Math. Mostly due to bad teachers. Then I got registered in a night section with a night job. Uhoh. Begged Carl Krantz to let me in his section. I made a solemn promise to be there and be prepared. Every day. Every time. I held up my end of the deal and so did he. BEST teacher I ever had.

As a private person -- nice, but he cannot teach: doesnt expain with examples, no review before tests. Makes mistakes while teaching and that totally throws off the whole class.I would advise to NOT take him, unless you are in for a barely passing grade only.

Nice person but horrible teach - cannot explain material,constantly makes mistakes and blames it on : late dept meeting, lack of coffee, time of day, etc. The book is even worse than his explanation attempts: purposely wrote to frustrate the sh#t out of people attempting to decipher the content. The enigma machine is easier to crack than this class

As long as you do the hw, you'll be fine. I was in his office at least once a week & he was very helpful in getting me to understand the info. But I would go into tests knowing the stuff and come out feeling stupid. He nitpicks at your work and tries his best to find something wrong with it.

Tests are managable if you keep up with HW. (3 tests, non-cumulative, half in class and half take home.) He really loves Math and know a great deal about it...but can be confusing at times. He goes over things quickly...but if you need him to repeat or explain - great with office hours help.

BEST TEACHER AT KEAN U!!!! he's all for the students. His class wasn't that bad. If you did the homework and made sure that you asked questions in class you'll pass. his tests are straight forward. he is very very helpful. go to him if you have questions!!!!

I had Dr.Krantz for differential equations and I was doing bad in the begining and he didn't let me give up. He made sure I understood the material and he was always there for me after class when I needed help. He is hard, but you will learn alot.
