Very laid back, has a sense of humor and very patient. There was a girl in my class who really struggled with the screenprinting process, and he was always patient with her and showed her how to do everything multiple times without any sort of negativity or comment. Opens room up outside of class hours if you need extra time. No homework.

He is really nice and really funny. For Art 101 you just do in class drawings and 5 sketches of certain things per week. If you don't show up much it is probably not good for your grade. Challenges you but it makes you better at art whether you believe you will get better or not.

Awesome teacher! Had for screen printing and he was very clear and did demonstrations. Attendance is not mandatory but skipping class would be hard to get all the work done. He also opened up the class on weekends which was helpful.

We listened to the radio every day in class and he'd even let us hook our ipods up to the radio as long as the music on there was appropriate. He cares about all his students and is very attractive. Easy class! Average of 2 hours of homework a week. Some weeks no homework and others 4+ hours to get assignment done. Don't need any talent in Art to do this one. Good class to couple with a very difficult one. Carl is a fun and nice guy. I am not an art lover, but walked from this class with a new perspective on how I view art. Barely used book.

Carl is GREAT! I am more talented as an artist now. However, his classes are serious and rigorous. He expects effort. Do not take this class as an easy A but take it for its value! I love Carl and he's the only art teacher I now take. He's also funny and keeps class worth attending everyday! TAKE HIM!

Carl is so super cool! Easily one of my most personable teachers, you just want to chill with the guy! Great artistic insight, super talented, and even a little hot! I love this guy!!! Not only did he teach me about art and all its interest in the world. He gave me his honest opinion about everything going on in my life and his hopes for me. I carry every word with me on a daily basis. His teaching nver stopped at the classroom doors!!! I admire him very much!!
