An Absolute treasure to SDSU. He is not a difficult teacher , however, its your responsibility to keep up with the reading (which is minimal). no HW, just 2 projects, a small mid and final. He's highly regarded and recognized in latin america for his award wining novels and writings.

Comment:

HE's such an awesome person, but as a teacher, being that he just got back- not bad at all. He's a very humble person who knows his stuff real well- i'm not much of a history person but he caught my interest, he treats you like family and is really truly understanding- I would take his class again- ONE test, videos- notes, 2 presentations- not bad.

One important thing to remember here is that Professor Wilson recently had major surgery and was still recovering this semester. That being said he still did a great job teaching this class. Classwork was minimal, just a few outlines. Presentations were short and class was fun. It's not well known but Wilson is a national hero in Panama!

Dr. Wilson is a great person BUT he does NOT teach the class. The book is good, but he just keeps repeating same things over and over, you can tell he is very knowleadgeable but he does not teach at all.

Honestly this teacher isn't that bad. Buy the book and just look up what he puts up on the board. Take notes of all the important people and the capitals of countries. There are 3 mult/choice exams and two presentations. The guy is boring but his exams are easy especially presentations.
