Comment:

Middle East History & Palestinian History were VERY interesting to learn about, and relevant in today's society. She knows what she is talking about and she has the documents and evidence to back up what she says. She is very personable and willing to help students understand the material.

Extremely difficult class. Questions on test are NOT the questions she reviews. Even an instance where she emailed a student explaining that a certain section of the boook would not be on the test...the next day the last 1/3 of test was directly from that specified section. Her grading is VERY VERY rigid. Not a teacher you wish to take...RUN!

AWFUL! She teaches on a graduate level. I've always been an honor student, and on the last quiz I made a 40! Not only is she ridiculously tough (don't bother reading over your thousands of pages of notes, because answers for quizzes won't come from there), but she is factually incorrect at times. Could be a nice person if she weren't so arrogant.

She is very hard to follow in class. She's puts alot of emphasis on things that don't end up having any relevence to the course. You HAVE to come to EVERY class in order to keep up. She goes off on tangents alot. I can't say that i enjoyed her class but it was definately an experiance.

Great teacher, but very hard. I'm a history major and have always done well in history previous to her. Her 25 minute tests are hard. Her mid terms are just as bad. There is a lot of writing too. She records attendance everyday. If you miss one class, you've missed alot. I took about 4 notes a day in her class. If you want a challenge, go for Dr. B

Dr. Bargeron is definitely a very hard teacher. Her 25 minute multiple choice/id/essay exams seem impossible but are a lot easier than they sound. She talks very fast and says "naaaaaaooooow" a lot. If you're willing to try hard and pay attention you'll do very well in her class.

You take alot of notes, no questions allowed during the lecture but you can ask before or after, and the tests are pretty hard but she is honestly a really good teacher and she will help you. Alot of people thought they were going to fail and didnt, myself included! I pulled off a B!

Although sometimes she speaks very quickly and taking good notes can be a challenge, she is the best history professor I've had at Texas State...If you attend regularly, study your notes, and read the assignments you'll do fine...her essays/ID's seem very difficult but she takes mercy on you when it comes to grading...Nice lady too

Dr. Bargeron is tough, but she is without a doubt the bext teacher at Texas State. Anyone who is willing to do the work, and has an interest in learning should take her courses. She is the best teacher i have ever had in my life. I have never learned so much from one person.

Dr. Bargeron is indeed very tough - lots and lots of notes, big papers, and high expectations. However, she is without a doubt the best prof at Texas State. She is brilliant. Anyone seeking a higher education and real actual knowledge, and not just any easy grade, will jump at the chance to take one of her classes. And, she is really sweet outside of class. Very funny and classy lady. Go for it, you won't regret it, unless you're a dumbass, that is.

I also took 4326. Dr. B is such a great teacher and is very into what she teaches, which is great. Start on your paper EARLY! I got into a jam, but ended up making a "B" -- I would def. take her for another class.

Dr. Bargeron is an excellent Professor. I learned so much in her class. Yes you have to work hard, but it is well worth it. If you show up to class, take good notes, do the paper, you are bound to make a "B" or better.
