You will not pass if you don't study every day. All of your grades for the class are based on the 6 exams you have in the class and lab( but lab doesn't have a big impact on your grade like the test). She puts a lot of material for just one test, so again make sure you study ahead of time or you won't pass.

Go to class!! While everything that is on the exams are on the posted power points, she will emphasize the small details you need to know for the exam you would usually pass up.

Dr. Baskauf is a great professor. I was totally scared of having her after reading reviews on here but she is actually one of the best teachers I have ever had . Her tests are extremely straight forward and clear to the point. She lectures with powerpoints and if you just thoroughly study those you will do extremely well on her tests. Love her!

Dr. Baskauf is great. Shes one of my favorite professors of all time and Ive had lots of them- Bio and otherwise. Her classes are difficult but you learn so much. If youre a slacker or if you cant take high expectations then you should find another prof. Shes also pretty nice and willing to help if youre putting forth effort.

I LOVE this professor! She posts lecture slides online, makes lectures easy to follow and she is interesting. Almost no homework, so tests make up the majority of your grade. If you don't study, you won't pass. DO THE FLASHCARDS that she recommends! Study daily, don't just cram. She is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and organized.

While Dr. Baskauf is a good lecturer, I really disliked her because she is unreasonable about certain things. Sometimes she can come across as arrogant and condescending. She's very big on following the rules for the rules' sake, so if you mess up one tiny part of your lab, get ready to start the 3-hour lab over again.

Dr. Baskauf is amazing! She knows her stuff and she is good at teaching it. Lectures are easy to follow and interesting. She posts slides for the lectures online. Print them, take them to lecture, and add whatever notes you need. DO THE FLASH CARDS! There is almost no homework in her class, so if you do not study for tests, you will not pass.

Although I first struggled in her class since I didn't know how to study, after figuring out what to do they class is a breeze. It does take some studying, however, If you're looking for a high grade in this class, most people that are willing to put in the effort should have no problem getting the grade they want.

Dr. Baskauf is tough, but also a professor I really enjoyed. Not only are her explanations extremely clear, but she usually quickly reviews at the beginning of class to get your mind into it. If you don't study, you won't pass, but if you study hard you should get an A. All her tests are direct from her Powerpoints. No comprehensive final.

Dr. Baskauf is a great person but her test are hard and it is really difficult to follow along during lecture. She can be confusing on lab report instructions. She also wants you to devote all your time to this class in order to pass. Studying is a major part of the class if you don't you will not pass her class

Carol Baskauf is an interesting lecturer but all of the studying I did still didn't prepare me for the exams. Tests were 2/3 multiple choice but with the questions several sentences long & each answer the same it was VERY hard to complete the exam in the allotted time. The lab reports instructions were vague and it took around 4 hours to complete.

People warned me not to take this course. Half of our class dropped it after test 1. This class was unbearable and she is the epitome of non-helpful. Only take this course if you are prepared to question everything that you know. You may even think about ending it all as this course is the worst thing EVER. She was horrible.

Carol Baskauf is the MOST UNREASONABLE person there is! She WILL find reasons to fail you! Her tests and lab reports are awful! The best way to pass this class is to thoroughly study the material she lectures on for that day as soon as you get home. I dedicated my life to this class this semester, and i'll be lucky if I get a C.

Dr. Baskauf is a wonderful professor. She does everything she can to help you pass and makes herself available for help with any of the topics covered. She is also an incredibly difficult professor. The lectures and labs are long, the tests are even longer (no multiple choice), and missing a class will really hurt you.

I DREADED this class every week. There is no attendance policy in the syllabus, yet she gives 24-year-old graduate students a talking to if they decide, as adults, to leave class early. Lab was a waste- most of the time ppl would just pretend to work. She was obsessively picky on assignments. Each test was 7 hours long- 3 hrs she owed us. Avoid!

Professor Baskauf is very interested in her field of study and research on the side that is very easily seen, but overall her quality as a teacher is poor. The material is confusing and her method of teaching isn't very good. There is only 4 tests with no study guides and that's the only grading, besides lab which is 25%. VERY strict on attendance

Dr. Baskauf can be really great, but the way she organized this class wasn't very productive. Her grading was also very nit-picky; I had more points taken off for things not being written in the format she wanted rather than me getting answers incorrect. However, I really learned a lot.

She is a great teacher. Although her tests are hard she is extremely helpful and takes plenty of grades so its ok if you do not make a good grade on something. There is a decent amount of work but it is not overbearing. If you do the work and try to learn you will get an A.

Dr. Baskauf is a great person who knows what she is talking about. The problem is that she thinks you do too. She goes way to fast and explains things like you already know them. On the plus side she is very helpful, both with the lab and the lecture. You can go to her for any help that you need, but still a very difficult class.

This class isn't hard but she makes it hard. Her grading system is ridiculous. Taking another instructor is a much smarter choice.
