This class is extremely easy. If you somehow managed to get below an A I'm surprised. Every test has a study guide of exactly what's on it, you get to make a note card cheat sheet for every test, and the class is littered with bonus points. The book isn't needed, you'll just have to buy a $15 packet. Take this class for the easiest A of your life.

Comment:
Dr. Caraway was incredibly vague about what she wanted from our papers. The lectures were boring and sucked all the fun out of philosophy--and I like philosophy. The mid-sentence Dr. Pepper sipping starts out just annoying and turns into unbearable. Unbelievably dry. She discussed weirdly personal information like her divorce. Yikes.

She is really hard to understand you are better off reading the packet you have to buy for the class. And she requires a textbook but posts all of the readings on moodle so don't get the book. Also you are able to have a note card for the exams. It's a class that is hard to follow but easy for the most part.

For Phil 100, you get extra credit points for going to class, you can watch easy movies and get extra credit for that, also after every test you fill out an extra credit paper. She also gives you the exact questions that are going to be on the test, & you get to bring a notecard for the test.

Dr. Caraway is a very nice woman. She is laid back and was able to joke around during class. Philosophy of art sounded horrible to me, but it wasn't a bad class. I enjoyed it. She I very interested in the subject. As long as you do decent work on the assignments given, you will get an A. She

Dr. Caraway is confusing and contradictory in her feedback, directions, and lectures. Although she encourages discussion in her classes, she never responds to comments or addresses questions satisfactorily. Also, if you are a minority (race or gender) be prepared for discrimination.

I took her for honors core, so it might be different than her regular classes. Her topic was supposed to be about love, but you never actually go into any debate about it, it's mostly just historical stuff. Honestly, it was pretty boring but I needed a philosophy credit.

For a 300 level class I'd say this was pretty easy. It was writing intensive so the work load was kind of annoying but nothing unreasonable. Not a hard grader, not the most interesting, but really, really nice. Lots of extra credit opportunities and super lenient about handing things in late.

Her class is very boring but if you go to class everyday and make a note card for every test you should get an A. She gives out tons of bonus if you go to class. Caraway drinks a bottle of diet Dr Pepper every class and she makes stupid jokes that no one laughs at, because there not paying any attention to her. shes an ok teacher.

Easy A. Study guide with all the test questions on it, pro-packet so you don't have to buy the book or take notes, notecard front and back on the tests, and hardly ever any homework. Attendance is bonus points. The class is boring but I'm not sure how she could make it any easier, take her.

She is an extremely easy professor. She lays out the test in a study guide and they look exactly the same, and she lets you bring a 3X5 note card with as much as you can fit on it. The class itself is so boring but go to class because just going to class gets you a lot of extra credit. I would definitely take her.

Dr. C. made epistemology fascinating. She knows many of the philosophers we studied personally. We had interesting in-depth discussions every class. All philosophy majors should take this class.

As far as the philosophy department at IUP is concerned, I am disappointed with the quality of pedagogy that was demonstrated by Dr. Caraway. She's a nice, understanding woman, but I occasionally walked out of this course with less knowledge about the subject than when I walked in. Not recommended, if you can avoid it.

Easy A! Class is boring to the 8th power. Grading scale is more complecated than chinese calculus. Take class with a friend to keep occupied. On her notes, very weird and unnessesary abbreviations (for instance PH=Philosophy, A=Action, YTPSF=Your total points so far)?! Drinks 4 Dr. Peppers per class. Most likely has about 18 Cats at home.

Dr. C's class was pretty easy, and a lot of fun. Got me interested in philosophy and critical thought. Don't buy book; everything is on Moodle and in pro-packet. Would definitely take her again if given the chance. Also, if you miss no more than two classes, 25 bonus points. Give away bonus points like they're going out of style.
