This teacher is one of the worst teachers that I have ever had, I am taking a 101 level art history class with her, and she expects way to much from her class, she piles out more information that you do not need to know than information you do need to know, she could care less about any other class you're taking and its very clear thats true.

Professor Downing is an amazing professor in so many ways. She is extremely clear about her expectations and the material, but she also really cares about her students. She is an inspirational professor and a wonderful human being. Her classes are interesting and definitely worth your time (even if you have no interest in art).

Great Art History Professor. She's the reason I'm adding the major. Orginally from Australia her voice is really soothing and her accent comes through from time to time. Overall it's a boring class and classroom, however it's required for Archaeology and most Art majors.

Prior to signing up for Survey of Art, part 1..I had no interest in art history. Because of her it is now my major. I love her teaching; her own enthusiasm for the subjects overflows and is contagious. Love the class and she's a fair to easy grader. :)
