Professor Hamilton is an exceptional teacher. She helped me understand Calculus easily. I came into the course very nervous. I quickly realized she was a great teacher. She is a professional learner and always looks for ways to improve her classroom experience. She provides videos for all the homework you do, and has great reviews.

Comment:

This class can be very difficult. She loves calculus and she is really great at teaching. She loves her students and wants them to succeed. She is very fair. She's not going to give extensions or bump your grade. I would take from her again! She's been teaching calc for a long time and she helps you understand why the math works. Highly recommend!

Comment:

She was awesome! Homework was online though Aleks, and it was 30% of the grade. There were 3 exams, that were 45% of the grade. There was also a comprehensive final that was 25% of the grade. The reviews are the exact same as the exams, and final. It was a super easy class, and the Aleks software was awesome! She is brilliant, I highly recommend!

Comment:

Weekly homework & quizzes online. There are videos online from webassign & from canvas that the teacher posts to help you do hw. There are 4 exams including the final. She provides great study guides that are similar to tests. She can answer any questions. I recommend this teacher. It's a hard class but she is a great teacher.

Not impressed with this class. I took it in hopes that being 1090 it was suppose to be more business applied algebra which it barely tied business into math at all. I should of just took 1050 since it was pretty much the same thing. The teacher was friendly and courteous but I felt like I should have just taken an online class Would not recommend.

Comment:

Professor Hamilton makes calculus make sense. It's hard, but take time to study and you'll be fine. Try to get 100% on the HW and Quizzes, it will make a difference at the end. Homework is just like quizzes, quizzes are just like tests. Study the test reviews and you'll do fine on the tests. Class is pretty fast paced, but it's organized.

WORST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER HAD! Doesn't take the time to really teach the students. Rushes through her lectures. I got an Exam review and when i took the exam, ALL the questions were completely different from the review. Basically set me up for failure. Even had a class average of 42% on a test because she sucked at teaching the material. DONT TAKE!

Absolutely terrible teacher. I got an A in the class but she definitely did not have any sympathy for those that were struggling in the class. Makes what should be an interesting subject terribly boring and mundane. She does not relate the concepts to the real world very well. Overall one of the worst classes I have taken at UVU.

Best math professor ever!!! She is awesome, you could not ask for a better professor. The class is hard, specially if you are lazy. If you love math then you would enjoy the class, work hard and ace your tests.

Great teacher. Lectures in class but some of the homework with you. A couple assignments and quizzes per week all done on web assign. 4 exams in testing center. Do the work and pass she's great. Knows her stuff.

Best math professor I've ever had. She explains the content so well and helps math make sense. She is incredible. Highly recommend Math 1090 with her over anything or anyone else.

This a dang tough class, that being said she's got to be one of the best teachers i've ever had. Webassign (the program you'll use for homework) is great. You'll have to work for it but take this class from her.

The best teacher I've ever had. This class has lots of homework, but it's needed if you want to really learn calculus and succeed. She knows the best and easier way to teach the students and always stay after class for as much as we need to help us with any questions we have.I admire her as a teacher and hope to take other classes with her again.

Professor Hamilton was so funny and such a good professor. The stuff at the beginning is harder than the end of the semester. Make sure you do the assignments and reviews because theyre exactly like the tests, ESPECIALLY the final. I got a 70 average on all the tests and got a 90 on the final. This isnt an easy class, but if you work hard it is

At first I did NOT get along with this professor, I had expressed an issue and she got very defensive. Other than that one incident she was great, she explains things very well and walks through each problem. She is BY FAR the best option when it comes to math. Take her class, and learn something.

Professor Hamilton is a no-nonsense professor. She isn't very tolerant and she doesn't really give extra credit, but she teaches the content in an understandable way. There are two homework assignments and two quizzes weekly. Tests are on the computer and aren't multiple choice. Do all the homework and get a 70% average on tests and you're good.

I wish could take every math class from her! She was awesome & helped me understand principals I never could understand my entire life! She gave me hope that I can learn even at 46 years old. This is a review class to prep you for the test to get you into the right math class. You use Aleks for 2 hrs in class + 4 hrs of homework time each week.

Fantastic professor. Plan on spending a lot of time outside of class studying. She gives you the tools you need and is very thorough with the material. Don't plan on getting an easy A, you'll have to work hard in this class.
