If you do not understand math at all. She will be a great teacher because she over explains EVERYTHING. For me, since she did that the class was quite boring and for a math class the lectures she had, had more words than numbers, which I did not like personally.

Comment:

She is an absolutely amazing teacher. The class moves at a very fast pace but she lectures very clearly and posts her notes from the document camera up on the website. She has a lot of resources on the website. She is extremely approachable and very helpful in officer hours. Math 2B is not easy, you have to practice, but she is the way to go!!

Comment:

Prof. Famiglietti is one of the best Math professors at UCI. Her notes may be lengthy, but if you pay attention it is incredibly easy to understand and compliments the learning process. She is knowledgable and is willing to answer questions. I recommend writing down what she writes in lecture and then going home to study the notes for 10 mins.

She's very passionate and wants her students to do well. Curves on exams, 2 midterms, a final, 6 quizzes, 2 of which are online. In lecture she mostly goes through steps of the concept. does a few examples in class. She does lecture kind of fast, mostly to cover all of the material. Go to class, take notes, go to office hours!

She's very passionate when she lectures. She focuses on explaining where you get the formulas and background knowledge to help you understand why you use a certain formula. She writes down everything she says, which is nice. She doesn't do many example problems, so go to discussion and your TA will do plenty for you to understand!

Came here thinking that series would kill me but she was a real gem. Her lectures were clear and if you came to class, you'll understand the concepts. She helped me and I got an A on the common final. She's not hard if put in the work, study and do homework. She was extremely passionate when she talked and I would recommend her.

Come to lecture and you'll see how passionate she is. She's so clear and is always there to help me out! The topics are harder than those in 2A but if you actually listen, you'll get it. Her first midterm was super fair! I'm doing well in this class (right now) but it'll only get harder. I'll come back to update for the latter half of the class :D

Famiglietti can teach math so well. She is amazing at lecturing. If you struggle with math, I definitely recommend her because she is clear and easy to understand. I like how she doesn't teach any shortcuts like other profs because it encourages you to understand the concepts. If you go to lectures and do practice exams, you should be good.

Famiglietti is the best math professor there is, she tries her best to make sure all students understand the hardest concepts. Keep in mind that just because the concept is difficult it doesn't mean she's a bad professor, it is just the course. She is always willing to help you just have to reach out to her. Definetly take!

She is AMAZING! Definitely one of the best math professors I've had in my life. She gives very detailed and thorough lectures. Don't miss any of them! Although the subject is regarded as difficult, she makes it seem pretty easy because she's that good. She is also very resourceful and sends you a lot of informative emails.

Math 2B is a tough subject. However, Catherine makes it a little better. She is very clear and thorough with her lectures. Although you gotta work hard to earn good grades on midterms and final (because the subject is very difficult itself). *Do suggested hw problems and midterm samples/final samples. *Redo them multiple times if you struggle.

Famiglietti has easily been the best professor I've had while at UCI. I failed Math 2A the first time, I just could not grasp the subject. Famiglietti's lectures are very clear and she teaches without assuming students have a former knowledge of the subject which helped me a lot. Studied my butt off, but worth it. DEFINITELY WOULD TAKE HER AGAIN

I feel like I have to drop something here because she is AMAZING. I'm taking her math 2B. Math is always the subject I hate the most, but I don't want to miss any lecture because of her. She is very helpful and patient, explaining everything clear. Here comes my first midterm and I've never feel so confident and prepared.

The best math teacher at UCI!! I really really liked Math 2B because of her. Hated math 2A but Fam made it so much better. Her midterms are very fair and she prepares you well for the final. She is always willing to help and replies quickly to emails! Take her if you can!!

I took Math 2A and Math 2B with her. She is a really great professor. She uploaded note clearly after lecture. If you follow her and pay attention during lectures, you will be ok bc she is really helpful.
