Dabdub is passionate and energetic, but lecture barely scratches the surface of what you need to know for the HW and tests. I didn't know how to code coming in and had to work a ton to pass. Definitely go to lecture for the occasional trivia that will show up on the tests. Big curve to the class since he expects an average of 50% on the tests.

Lecture is easy stuff, HW is way harder, and tests are even harder. If you don't already know how to program, you'll definitely need to study a lot, read the textbook, and practice a lot. Big curve (he expects the class average to be a 50%). Attendance isn't mandatory, but lecture will cover some random trivia that'll be on test.

Great guy. TAs do most of the work and his lectures may be a little off topic but overall, he uses interesting examples and keeps the class involved. Great for first programming class

Professor Dabdub is very caring, kind and genuine. He cares about his students and makes sure we understood. Lectures are easy, but homework and tests are tricky. I can guarantee you, you will learn A LOT. TA's are very helpful so make sure to go to office hours and ask questions! Overall, materials are hard but he's an amazing professor.

Professor Dabdub is very funny and easy going. Sometimes his lecture are sometimes very off topic. He will usually go off on a little tangent about life before he starts his actual lecture. Don't be afraid to participate he won't shut down your answer, but give you a chance to redeem yourself. STUDY!!! YOU CODE TO LEARN; YOU DON'T LEARN TO CODE.

Professor Dabdub was by far my favorite professor last quarter. He is very enthusiastic and likes to engage the students in a conversation during lecture. However, he teaches easy concepts in class even though the homework and tests are a lot harder. But if you pay attention during discussion and start the homework early you should be okay!

While Professor Dabdub won't just hand you an A (Something I am Glad for), he is a very passionate teacher who loves to teach MAE10. Because of him MAE 10 was the best class of my Quarter. I went from having NO coding experience to being proficient in MATLAB.

He knows what he teaches but he doesn't teach for 40% of the lecture on average. One lecture he didn't even teach. Midterms curved to the majority but midterms were created so that the majority would only be able to answer 50% of the questions. Overall, entertaining and knowledgeable but spends an above average time monologuing.

Very enthusiastic professor, but difficult class. Teaches easy things in class, but tests are sooo hard. Average on the midterm was around a 30%. However, there is a significant curve to the exams.
