A group project with the entire class does not make for the best learning environment. There was almost no accountability for people who did almost nothing but they still got a good grade on the project (worth 55% of grade). Lectures were hard to follow at some points but if you showed up and listened you didnt need the textbook for exams.

Class project was horrible. Jason also does not lecture well, gives way too many examples. His lectures could be summed up in 5 minutes. The textbook for this class was dry, but saved me in the final, as Jason's lectures did little for my learning. He is a weird guy. sort of funny. Kind of weird towards Aboriginal issues.

morris has a great energy, however i was extremely disapointed by his rudeness towards certain groups of students. i expect a prof to teach and to not express personal opinions, especially not as far as jason took it. wish i had more knowledge of his expectations and more input towards testable and relatable material

He is a nice person, but kind of confusing to understand. I find it very difficult to walk away a clear understanding of what was said in class. His class feels pretty relaxed and he allows for a lot of class questions, but this is also annoying because we don`t always get to the point or finish talking about what we will actually be graded on.

well, he's an interesting prof. but he is very reluctant to grade higher than a B, and not reluctant to grade lower. the feedback he gives when marking is not very helpful, and if you follow it to actually try and improve your mark, you will likely get the exact same mark on the following assignment.

This guy is an awful professor!!! He is an incredibly hard marker and if you try to put in the extra effort and go get help in his office hours he does not help you what so ever!!!! Stay away if you can, unless you would like a huge GPA dropper and to experience the worst professor ever!!!!

I have never had a more thought provoking, smart, and just a basically all around rad teacher. I needed this class for my nursing degree and left with a huge respect for him and the health care system. He was my FAVORITE!!

Muddled teaching style. Took two web-based classes, don't know if I could stand him in person. Creates confusion over simple definitions like "sovereignty". If you like uncomfortable, awkward & unqualified instructors, then he is your man. He recommends becoming a member of a political party to up your chances of finding a mate.

If you want an interesting course presented in an intriguing and fun way, take pols 403. However, J is a tough marker so unless you study your stuff and seek his help you won't find youself with a good grade. If you pay attention you can see kindness and creativity in his eyes. Definitely a course worth taking...

He was only a guest speaker, but good lord this guy was horrible. Stupid examples, dumb jokes for the entire class, spending nearly no time on what we were supposed to learn. Almost the entire class left with absolutely NO understanding of what he was supposed to teach us that day. Just awful.
