Bring a pillow, you will fall asleep!! Lectures are heavy and very boring. Unfortunately takes forever in handing grades back and there is lots of required reading. Only a few grades for the semester and I only knew 1 grade before the final. Very confusing and would not take again.

Its not difficult to get an A in this class. But she is an AWFUL teacher. She shows up to class late, takes forever to hand things back. Luckily, she gives review sheets for everything. 1 final, 1 midterm, 1 paper. She requires you to memorize a lot of sources which is impossible. Honestly I still dont understand how shes a teacher.

I had to take history for my core requirements, and professor Bucki is by far the worst teacher I have ever had, she expects a tremendous amount of effort to go towards her class and assigns an unreasonable amount of reading. AVOID with all costs

Dr Bucki is a teacher that is a hit or miss. There are papers every week, extra assignments always, and final paper and exam. Very unorganized, late turning things back, and lectures are long, boring, and useless. If you get on her good side, it will be much easier. Come to class and participate. Not a horrible option, but not the best by far.

Boring, unhelpful, unorganized. No clear agenda with her lectures. Took the class to fulfill a core requirement and ended up being my hardest class that semester. You can have your computer up so I mostly did other homework in class.

DO NOT take this professor. Assigns a paper every week and does not get grades back to you at all. Unrealistic expectations of students' time and requires you to attend events outside of class. Class lectures are pointless and do nothing to help you write the papers. So much reading. I would never take this professor again.

Gives tons of extra documents that do not help you to learn the material. Expects a ridiculous amount of reading for even lower level classes. Shows little to no respect for students or for students' time.

There is no doubt that Professor Bucki is a tough teacher. You have to put A LOT of time into her class in order to get a good grade and sometimes class can really drag on. She is very enthusiastic and one of the only college professors I have ever had who gave review sheets. Does not answer emails but if you go to her office hours shes a big help

Prof Bucki didn't teach us anything. One out of the two classes every week was spent looking at documents that had nothing to do with what we were learning. For the midterm and final she gave about 20 review "short answer" questions (more like essays) and we had to write 4 of them on the final. Overall not helpful and not a good teacher.

I love 20the Century US history...yet I didn't love this class. She clearly knows her stuff, but she isn't good at teaching it. Review sheets have many questions on them, but she only picks about 4 for the test. Always late to class. Offers alot of extra credit though. If you are into US history, suck it up and take the class. If not, skip it.

Professor Bucki is the most disorganized professor I have ever had. I have never met a teacher who changed her syllabus so much throughout the semester to unbenefit her students. she really has no consideration for her students and does not care. Don't try getting in contact w/ her she won't contact you back

Dr. Bucki is one of the worst professors i have ever had. it is really unfortunate that a fine institution like fairfield university has sub par teachers like her.. it took her 2 months to get our midterms back.. she was EXTREMELY unorganized.. she is also very condescending. Bucki is by far the WORST teacher at Fairfield. She gives out work like it's your only class and is an IMPOSSIBLE grader. Treats you like your a moron and even if you participate and answer correctly she has to add something hear her own voice. Takes MONTHS to get any assignment back. If you care about your GPA or sanity AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Oooo Cecilia really broke my heart with this class. She is all over the place during EVERY class!!!!! her midterm and final...gives us 15-25 questions and we have to memorize them and she picks 4 out of them!! yea fun times...NOT

This class is ridiculous. Must watch 9 movies, one every thursday night and write a paper on each. Haven't learned a single thing in class yet. No rhyme or reason to grading, just a letter on top, no comments; sometimes I wonder if my work is even read. I agree with the discrimination from the last review. Avoid at all costs, even history majors.
