I can't speak for the prof outside this course but MIME320 is one of the least engaging and most unpleasant courses I've ever taken. The prof hardly shows up, and when he does its mostly to skip through half of his slides and tell us how little any of the course material matters. Then he assigns a 16,400 word group paper??? absolute waste of time

This rating should be given to the TA "who barely speaks English" and the random people who showed up to give the lecture, because Hassani was barely there himself. This class is extremely easy even when he tried to make it harder. Just study a bit harder and stick to the boring "misspelled" guidelines you'd get and you'll end up with an A.

This class is extremely boring! Every time I went there I couldn't resist sleeping. Prof. Hassani is a good person, however it seems like he had enough with this course. He doesn't really care about it, and you shouldn't! The midterm was a repetitive from last years and I guess the final too. Overall, an easy class!

LOL what a joke Hassani and his class are. He is a pretty cool guy but NOT a great prof. His jokes tend to be offensive to sensitive ppl sometimes, his English is poor, his marking scheme is terrible and his assignments are pointless or not mentioned on WebCT. Laughed my head off at ppl taking notes in class. Didnt bother going and got a B+

The course is ridiculously boring and useless. But this guy is great, it's like they picked him from the street to teach this class. Very funny! Made this class bearable, tells interesting stories and his jokes are pure genius! But it's a very easy course, don't take it in your first year, leave it to a heavy semester as a "filler"

Decent teacher...kinda hard to follow and isnt always the easiest to understand. Best way to do well is to go to the classes and sit and listen. Its not like other engineering courses where you actually have to study, you kinda just absorb this stuff. Imagine being an arts student where everything is this easy

By far one of the most interesting classes ever. Several non-engineering students sit in because of Professor Hassani's humour and the well-chosen selection of video clips he uses as teaching aids. It is not difficult to do well in this course if you keep your eyes and ears wide open in class.

The man is great. He teches well tries to make a really boring and useless class interesting. He made the course bearable. Beware the finals are loaded with anal details. But the test isnt bad, and the assignments are a joke.
