Dr. Nixon is a really inspiring person, I loved listening to her lectures. You can tell she cares about what shes teaching and her students. Shes a bit unclear on her grading and doesnt always grade assignments that you turn in. The class felt a little disorganized but interesting!

BEST professor at Behrend! She is so sweet and willing to help, while at the same time makes the class interesting. She encourages students to think, but does not make it impossible to succeed. You can tell that she truly wants people to grasp the concepts that she teaches.

Dr. Nixon is an amazing professor! She goes to extremes to ensure that ALL of her students understand the material she is teaching. She also goes to great lengths to make sure that her teaching methods are both fresh and comprehensible. She mixed up the materials that were graded--projects, tests, papers--making it interesting for all students.

Dr. Nixon is the only professor I ever had that did not have to struggle to actually make her point, but not only did she make her point I understood her. While I was attending her life seemed to be one disaster after another, but she continued with all of her many projects and would find time to help students out. I hope to be able to handle my life with the ease that she appears to handle hers.

Since transferring from Behrend to Pitt, I am a junior and have yet to find a professor that teaches a course as engaging as hers. I have always missed each of my classes at least once a semester-- I NEVER ONCE MISSED HERS! Just because i enjoyed it so much. Shame on you if you don't take her!

Awesome teacher!!!!!!!!! Loved her. She was always extremely helpful and easy to listen to. Tests were very easy. It almost seemed as if she didn't read our writing assignments, but if you wrote a lot, you got an A.
