One big paper, if you follow his example you will get an A. You need to participate, even if you just ask something basic a few times it will help your grade. Make sure you check your exam grades after EVERY test, the machine he uses makes a lot of mistakes. Make sure you go to class before ever exam he will give you a verbal study guide.

By far the worst criminal justice class ever! What a giant waste of time AND money! This guy spends more than half the class going off on tangents regarding current events and fails to go over the curriculum! Avoid at all costs!

Bozza is interesting with lots of experience in policing & stories, but is a horrible professor. Bozza spends 3/4+ of class talking about random policing current events and student questions. Class consists of three 100 multiple choice test, paper, & participation. Class is pointless & waist of time didn't learn a thing don't take this guy!!!

Bozza spends 3/4 of class giving personal opinions on articles and skims through powerpoints. Seems like his health is declining he cannot stand up to give his lectures and coughs and wheezes when talking. Does not give personal opinions and does not answer questions. Seems to be prejudiced and makes many questionable comments.I do not recommend

Spends almost all of classtime on articles of current news. Flies through the powerpoints and refuses to slow down or post the pwts online. Just read the book to study for his tests. He also grades extremely harsh on papers

the book is very helpful when you are looking for the answers for the study guide. he gives you all 100 questions for the exam 1 class prior to the exam. my best advise is to partner up with a couple people in class to complete the SG. He is not clear on what he wants on his paper. He contradicts himself a lot. overall he's an OK professor.

Must attend and talk about an article to receive participation don't need to read the chapters he gives you ever single question that's on the midterm so you just need to look for the answer in the book. One paper where you interview someone in the field you want to work in. Very easy! Sometimes boring though.

Worst Criminal Justice Professor at CSULB. His lectures are power points that he flies threw in like 15 minutes, he just reads off the slides and offers very little of his own input. His also has some questionable tendencies that rubbed many the wrong way with remarks that seemed racially motivated. Avoid at all cost

HIs class is super boring. He basically reads off PPT that come straight from the text. He grades hard on the paper even if you add everything he asks for. He also says a lot of statements that do not make sense in regard with race

His class is boring. However, the 1st test isn't easy but the 2nd and 3rd are super easy. You have one 10 page paper, 3 tests. You also have to bring the related articles to the class and speak up to get points as well. Overall, easy class. I got a B without studying too hard...

He is a pretty good professor and ex-police officer. His tests are easy, as he gives you all the questions before the test. The paper was kind of a pain but overall the class is easy if you show up and participate. Recommend this professor.

There r a lot of posts about him that r from lazy kids. U do not have to "memorize the entire book" to get an A. His lectures really do not help at all for the test. To get an A just write the paper correctly (it's not hard), make study guides for the tests. They will b labor intensive bc u will need to look everything up in the book. Not difficult

I resent the ratings about this professor. Dr. Bozza is a nice guy and admirable ex-chief of police. He may not teach the material passionately, but he makes up for it. Fair, flexible & approachable. He basically gives you the answers to the exam before you take it.3 exams and 1-2 papers.Read the book.He's cool & wait until you see his wardrobe. =)

Pretty much you have to memorize the book to get an A in the class. His lectures dont help for the test and you have to go to class because participation is worth a lot. if you come to class and participate but forget to write your name in his book you dont get credit. for the paper i followed the example exactly and still got points marked off.

Bozza is boring and not helpful. He does not teach much so you have to read the textbook, it self explanatory. 1 paper, 2 exams and a final 100 questions each which is stupid, too many questions that are not necessary. He also grades hard on the paper. I included everything he ask for and got a C! participation is worth a lot so don't miss class.

His tests reek of laziness on a 100 question test 60 questions are true false. He is unclear and tests on obscure facts that are not relevant to the subject matter.
