A great guy. If you're willing to do the readings and are can discuss what you've read in a clear manner, you'd have no trouble in his course. If you haven't done well, it's because you haven't done the work or aren't paying attention. You have to be interested in history. He's a sharp guy, keep up. Unfortunately he's retiring, but he'll be missed.

his teaching style is so bad. i did not learn anything in his class. after the first few weeks of class, o just dropped out. it was so boring, i had no more motivation to attend his lectures. he wasn't even teaching, we taught ourselves by reading texts.

This is a 105 class. He had no syllabus, no grading system posted, no class objectives, no tests, 6 - 5 page papers due, and half the course was spent watching movies. He had a poor attitude and argued with everyone, even the history majors. His questions and arguments rarely made sense as did his deductive reasoning. NOT a PHD quality professor.

Buzicky wasn't the most helpful - or really encouraging professor- but he knows nobody wants to take a history class either. I loved his class, he taught in a concise, organized and efficient manner. And he also brought into to class relevant materials not assigned. He doesn't beg people to ask for help, but if you need it he'll help you!

I loved this class! I've heard a lot of negative things about this professor, but I liked his style for the most part, and I learned a lot from him! The only things I didn't like were the Great Issues book and the in class essays. Other than that, he did a good job.
