THIS IS A TERRIBLE PROFESSOR. I am not just saying that because the class is difficult, but this is my 3rd year in college, I am a Phi Theta Kappa honors student, and I still have difficulty understanding this man. He came out of retirement to teach, and acts like he could care less. AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COSTS. Study HARD.

Funny, interesting stories. His stories tend to wander off topic, lecture kinda jumps around a bunch. MUST attend lectures, write down EVERY thing he says! His stories, movies, and hand outs end up on the tests also. Field trips are fun though. Lots of outside class book reading to get the best understanding.

If you are looking to understand the material of this course, do not take it with him. He breezes over the lectures very quickly and goes off on frequent, and confusing tangents. His life stories are interesting, and the field trips are fun, but the class is a lot of work. You must write down literally everytrhing he says & make tons of flascards!

Dr. Hannan is funny and kind, you've got to take the time to get to know him in lab. Show up on time and take notes, his lecture exams are based on what he says in class. The quizzes in lab are usually easy as long as you read the lab you are going to perform and performed the lab of the previous week.

He's a nice person and is funny sometimes. His exams and quizzes are difficult. He also shows lots of movies. He wanders off topic all the time. Write everything he says and NEVER miss a class. Study a million times and you'll still fall short of your expectations. Study EVERYTHING that he gives you. Avoid at all cost unless you don't have a life.

This guy is hilarious. Thats the main reason i go to class. Just to hear him make fun of all the kids that are going to fail. You have to work for your grade. No slackers! but if you can take the heat and the jokes. go for it. I highly recommend him.

Don't take this class unless you have plenty of time (jobless) for this class or less than part-time student. Not an easy class. Hannan: "I'm trying to keep up with the standards of an Ivy League school". Really my mom isn't paying my tuition. More than 1/2 the class got a c or d. Very few got A's. I don't recommend this class. Nice difficult Prof.

Dr. Hannan is a phenomenal professor. I learned more in his class than any other class I've taken at Mesa College. His tests are challenging, but doable. Study everything he gives to you, which is a lot of information, and you will do well in his class. I highly recommend his class for people genuinely interested in learning.

Hannan is a very interesting teacher. I enjoyed his class very much. The tests are hard so be sure to do all of the studying and reading assigned. He does show quite a few movies which also show up on tests. He also assigns field trips. I would recommend his class, just be prepared to do serious studying.

Dr. Hannan is an awesome professor! Dont listen to the negative comments about him, they come from the bitter dropouts anyway! His class is a challenge, so bring your A game, take lots of notes, listen well and ask lots of questions. The tests are hard at first and then get easier. Study hard, he is going to weed out the dumb kids fo' sho.

He is a great Biologist and seems very interested in what he studies, but his test are VERY difficult. What he teaches in class is nothing like in High School if you came straight from there like I did. He goes slightly by the book but can wander form the discussion but take notes on the random things because they probably WILL be on the test.
