Oh Charles! I love this man to death. BEST PROF on campus. He is what college is all about. I've never enjoyed a class so much! & I cannot forget about the grad student Caleb, he's adorable! I'll deff miss this class.

I LOVED Charles. He is such an awesome professor. He makes the class fun with his awesome sense of humor! however, do not take him if you do not like to be called on. He makes it a goal to call on every student at least once. He is a really easy and laid back guy, quizzes are online as well as exams. He is just an all around great guy!

Awesome professor! He talks a lot but you'll learn a lot from him He is very considerate and cares about his students. I was actually sad on the last day of class! Charles is a very influential figure and you will definitely love his class. Attendance is mandatory, because there is no clear syllabus. Take this class!

Awesome, awesome, awesome professor! Very laid back, very approachable and delivers a great lecture. The material is difficult but Charles makes it fun and you actually want to go to class everyday. If you have the chance, definitely take his course.

I took Charles' class 20...omg 25 years ago. Occasionally, I still email him and Dr. Teresa Dalle. They are just good people and great teachers. I learned a lot in their classes and I use their material in my classes today...25 years later. Take their class before they retire...you'll remember them 20 years in the future LOL.

This guy is the best. It was an online class but he always emailed me back asap with the answers to any questions. He had on campus meeting but i never went because the class was so easy i didnt need to. He even let you re-do some assgnmnts and took the best grade! TAKE HIM!!! Easy A.

Took a class on linguistics from him having zero interest in it--just get a class out of the way. Instead, Hall actually had me really interested in the subject matter and the magnitude of his knowledge is absolutely staggering! The man is a genius, yet also very down-to-earth. He knows how to connect with his classes like no other prof I've had.

What a bad ass! All the assignments were online and open book. The tests can be tough but with the book and the allotted time given it's easy to make good grades. I am a B student and made a B.... even after opting out of the final paper. I HIGHLY suggest taking from Charles. Good teacher, funny guy, easy to pay attention, and he is helpful!

Though this class is a departmental "fluff," his discussions on how to market oneself in the field were so dumbed down they were unhelpful. Glossed over real problems with hiring to make students feel optimistic;the real "politics" behind marketing oneself were omitted in favor of "safe" topics.He's funny;butfunny profs are not always the best ones
