Comment:

Took him for a summer course. The material wasn't necessarily difficult, the exams are over 10 chapters making studying difficult. The discussion boards were time consuming. And it was frustrating not being able to see why you didn't receive full credit on assignments.

Took him for Advanced Marketing Research as an undergrad and man this class was tough. I missed class a lot at the end due to a lot of personal issues and he was very understanding and helpful. If you have trouble, meet with him and he'll help you to the best of his ability. Hard class, but he's a stand up guy.

I thought he was a good professor. He is really good at getting back to you if needed and always wants to help you succeed. He curved the midterm and final, so he wants you to succeed. Midterm was super easy, final was super tricky. I didn't have the book for the class and came out with a B. I think if I had the book I would've gotten an A.

He is very clear about what he expects from discussion board posts and assignments in general. He assigns articles to read in addition to the quizzes, which are due every week. Only have 2 tests: midterm and final. Each have a multiple choice and essay component. The essay part is uploaded to blackboard and you get about a week to finish it.

Attendance isn't really mandatory. Three tests, all multiple choice. Definitely study. There is one opportunity for extra credit. There are a few quizzes on Blackboard due each week.

Dr. Hermans is a very tough professor. Be prepared if you are not a Conservative as he will make references and favors his political views over the students. His class is not very interesting nor inclusive. You must read the book and read the cases, he will then pick out one sentence for a question on the exam. Good luck.

Not the easiest class but overall he's not that bad. You get out an hour early almost every class. Exams cover A LOT of material but if you memorize the slides and all of the words in each chapter you should do decent. Class attendance isn't mandatory but there are a lot of quizzes and sometimes he gives EC for going to class. SPSS class project

He is a cool professor. That's right. But you need to memorize everything in his PPT slides and Study guide. If he say "that will be in exam", it should be a big amount of questions in his Exam. Also, his test is base on textbook. You need to memorize every stuff in PPT slide. His test is not an application question exam, just memorize stuff in PPT

This class was very interesting. The class goes by fast if you discuss the topics he is talking about. He is very nice and is willing to sit down and meet with you. Assignments weren't hard just had to do them and get full credit.

class can be a little boring, but necessary to attend, quiz questions directly from lecture. lots of small quizzes and assignments, but put in a little effort and you should get full credit. tests are hard as balls! asks nitpicky questions over random things from the 10 chapters that the test is over

Class lectures are somewhat boring, but he keeps it interesting with Karaoke, international food testing & commercials. Tests are HARD, read the material closely. Quizzes aren't bad, assignments easy - just do them. Final debate project was fun, too: you're randomly assigned a country and product to argue yes/no for sales. Overall good class.

Most of the assignments you get full credit for if you just do them.Quizzes can be tough, because they are 5 questions, 4 points a piece.Exams are 50 questions, 4 points a piece, so that's rough. The class lectures are plain and simple, the tests are fairly difficult. The articles and assignments he has you do are easy, however you do have to perform a debate in front of class and prepare arguments for both sides. Overall not a bad class.

He is a very nice guy! Class is really boring and you have 2 tests which are fairly difficult. You get alot of other easy points inthe class though. Oh,and you get to sing karaoke!
