The class is called "Multicultural and Gender Studies," yet all this man talks about is how poorly African Americans are treated. Not a very structured class; it's more like an online class. Lectures are VERY boring and pointless to attend. I do not recommend him.

Has a huge political agenda--his goal seems to be making white students feel guilty. Doesn't really follow a set schedule--makes up grading weights as he goes along. Essays and online discussions are most of the grades. You'll mostly learn about how white people treated minorities badly. Not recommended.

I think Dr. Turner is a great teacher. He always tries to help students out, you have to talk to him to see what I mean. I think that people feel uncomfertable to be around him or in his class because he talks with the truth about things, and he doesnt only talk about what he thinks is right but of both sides of the story. DR TURNER YOUR AWSOME!!!!

Worse teacher I've had so far. The grade for the class is based on one midterm and a final. He's gotton too bitter for teaching. Doesn't follow his syllabus and tends to BS is way through class discussion. He constantly repeats himself and talks about his personal life too much. He repeats himself a lot. He seems like he knows his stuff, but class in itself is boring. The book is a good read, but going to class seems really pointless. If you enjoy class discussion, take this class, if you don't, try to avoid it! Grading on the essays is tough, lame.

At first Dr. TUrner seemes full of himself and arrogant but he is an intelligent man and his class changed my view on lots of things in life. You learn a lot and the material is very interesting. I didnt find him very helful though. If possible avoid him.
