This professor was absolutely superb! Took him Fall/2015. We went to Neinas for a practicum. The class was pretty easy, but you learn A LOT about teaching children science. He is an amazing man, and I truly felt prepared after taking his course. Quizzes every Friday, STUDY. Research papers, be comfortable with writing or those.

Prof Burke is a nice guy, however, he is extremely unorganized. I do not think I gained ANY knowledge by taking this class. To be honest, I could not recall one thing learned and I took this class 2 semesters ago. Do not recommend

Dr. Burke is a great professor, as he is very helpful and understanding if you ask for help. Otherwise, you can get lost and confused in his class. It takes him a while to reply and grade assignments. Still, I would take more classes with him as I learned to way to deal with him: ask for help and reach out and he will help you. I got an A!

He's a brilliant professor but should be teaching higher level courses. It was a waste his time to teach an intro course. Working with students was the best part of the class. You need to ask him excatly what he wants for his papars or else you'll lose credit.

He's too smart to teach introductory level classes. He gets lost in his brain. He gives quizzes everyone fails because he doesn't say there are articles to read. He also changes your pointless frustrating group experiment three weeks in which makes you have to redo every paper. Then he just piles stuff on you the last week. Okay guy, poor prof.

I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. He doesn't seem to be very organized. He makes majority of work (biggest assignments) all due the same week. when it came time to take the final, I felt like I learned nothing the whole semester.

Burke has a hard time making science relatable for elementary students. Our last three assignments never got graded, yet we got a final grade. He has horrible time management, never finished anything we started. Do yourself a favor and take another professor.

Burke's a nice guy but he and his classes are terribly unorganized. Students have no idea where they stand in the class, because he waited until the end of semester to grade the majority of assignments. Very confusing lectures, and tedious experiments. Overall the class was a complete disaster. Avoid if at all possible.

I worked so hard for this useless course and he still managed to bring my grade down.. He gives a lot of LONG useless papers that will teach you NOTHING! I'm minoring in science and he made me hate the subject. Does not help, he is not clear, he confuses you, and he lies and changes his mind a million time. Do not take him!!!!

He is the worst teacher ever. He said he will give points for the attendance but he lies and you will not pass his class.I did good in his class but he did not pass me. All the comments were true and he is not fair and he ruined my GPA. Because of him they moved me from the program. He's an idiot. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

This was the worst professor I have ever had! He gave more papers than my English classes and I learned NOTHING from his class. Make sure you keep an eye on your grade because he confused me with another girl in the class and submitted the wrong grade to my transcript. He is an idiot and extremely confusing...STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!!
