We had tests, and a group project, and in-class exercises. You have to be in class to be counted for the in class exercise. This class is such an easy class... its his tricky tests that getcha. He is the best professor for Marketing hands down. Great Guy, always is dressed up. He's the type of guy you wish you were family with. Highly Recommend

Fairly nice guy but the class is pretty boring. Some online quizzes, a midterm and final exam that are both multiple choice and T/F, and a group presentation at the end. Not difficult to pass this class if you show up and remember to take the online quizzes. Not really necessary to buy the textbook.

Easy class, but I did not learn one thing. Class was a waste of time and did not add any type of value to my day. Anything that I did learn in this class was out of the textbook which ,like the lectures, was 95% useless. Wish I took a different professor.

He's a nice guy, but after awhile when you barely learn anything in class about the actual material it gets really old. We had weekly quizzes, and nothing we learned about was taught in lecture. It's set up like an online class expect for the fact that attendance counts.

Great professor, this is the second time I have taken his class and both times were great! He is a fair grader and really understands his students. His experience and stories really add to the lecture and make it very fun and interesting. Would take at any opportunity.

Prof. Samfilipo is a one of kind guy/ teacher. I often found myself staying 15-20 minutes after a class just to talk to him. His lectures are very well put together, and his enthusiasm about marketing and teaching very apparent. Prof. Samfilipo is the standard by which all teachers should judge themselves. Caring, thoughtful, and enthusiastic.

Professor Samfilippo is fantastic, the best professor I've had at U of M Dearborn. Definitely take him if you have the option. His class is easy if you participate, and he genuinely cares about his students.

I have never had such an inspirational and amazing professor! Literally the best professor at UMD. Pay attention in class and you'll do good on the quizzes and exams. Quizzes and exams are all multiple choice and T/F. There was a group project that was really fun to do! He engages students and makes learning fun!

Hes an easy professor with super easy assignments and group projects. He doesnt grade off many things, so do all your assignments. The reason I give him such a low rating is because after a group assignment, I forgot to put my name on it and he gave me 0 points. Even after explaining to him what happened, he still refused to change my grade.

Professor Samfillippo is a very polished individual. His choice of words as well as how he articulates himself through the lectures as well as his book definetely goes to show seasoned he is in the subject he teaches His class puts more of an emphasis on context rather than content, making is a higher quality learning experience overall.

Professor Samfillippo is a great professor!! 4 quizzes and a group project with no homework. He does require you to read the chapters before class. He also will drop the lowest quiz grade. He is hilarious and makes class enjoyable and while learning. If you want a great experience with someone who actually knows his stuff !!!

Went in saying "oh great, another marketing class" as I had a BBA in the subject. Turns out it was the best marketing class I have taken. You'll learn a lot and have great discussions with everyone in class on different aspects of marketing. Some on here say he is an easy grader, but I'd say he recognizes effort and rewards you for it, dont slack!
