Prof Kelly was a mess. She was unorganized and give out assignment last minutes, like the day before it was due. The lecture was heavy and she went off topic often. Late to class. Give notice late. Her instructions were confusing. If this course is not a requirement for my major, I won't take her. Thompson is better than her.

Incredibly disorganized, borderline neurotic, syllabus is unclear from the beginning and threatens to report you for plagiarism for minor mistakes. Indignant to student feedback and combative when proven wrong. Avoid at all possible costs.

She really cares about students - she is super well informed , you gotta read folks and she really funny too. If you set appt for office hours you wont regret it. Shell go to bat for students who put in effort - I mean really go to bat!

Politics of Poverty online. The reading material is interesting and could be a very inspirational subject. WARNING! - Unless you like last minuteness, save yourself the stress and aggravation. This Prof will leave you in the dark and does not allow for interaction with other students. Assignments were altered so many times so forget the syllabus.

Professor Kelly is a Angel. When you are in trouble in the course she will do everything within her ability to help. You have to communicate with her otherwise she won't know how to help. I've had her for multiple classes and everytime I've enjoyed having conversations with her in and outside her class. Don't take advantage of her kindness.

So, Professor Kelly is a very unique individual. The course was scattered and sometimes it's very difficult to understand what she wants. However, if I asked for clarification, she was there to give it to me. She gave a lot of flexibility and time to submit assignments, and was available a majority of the time we needed her. However, not an easy A!

A semester later, and this class continues to haunt me. I still can't get over how someone could be so scattered and yet rude when asked for clarification of assignments. Her ego really seems to get in the way of her ability to share her knowledge with a class. Unless you enjoy confusion and condescension, take ANYONE else available.

Very unorganized, she lectures the full time of the class so be prepared to sit and listen. She goes off topic a lot, and rants about things that are not usually relevant to the topic you're supposed to be talking about. SHE DOES NOT ANSWER EMAILS, AND IS NEVER IN HER OFFICE. I wouldn't take this course again.

Taking this class was a nightmare. I give it to her for being brilliant and passionate about PS but she does not know how to teach. She is all over the place, arrogant and rude. Get the book, cant pass without it. Not TOO many assignments but what she expects from them is what will make you crazy. Just save yourself the stress and take someone else

took prof in summer for the first time, it was a short but intense course, professor is fair and understanding but not a push over or BS taker. Concerned with civil right and community. our class did a memorial for the Victims of the Orlando club massacre. She is a real gem. Very personable and informative. Super dupa smart! no phone usage allowed.

Scattered and unhelpful. Lectures lack focus and she shows up late or cancels class often. Her online quizzes are timed and scheduled on the weekends, creating obstacles if you have assignments for other classes. Her instructions and usage of Blackboard are unclear and riddled with typos. I wouldn't recommend her, find another professor if you can.

Not only is she unreasonably tough on what is supposed to be a freshmen course, but if she doesn't like you, she will do everything in he power to make your life miserable. I was really hyped up to be in the class, because I love politics and education and thought this would be awesome. She didn't teach much, hardly showed up to class on time, and often would email cancellations minutes before class started. Talked about future assignments, more than the subject matter. I was really disappointed in hindsight.

Not a hard professor but I still will NOT recommend her to anyone. She is VERY unorganized, very arrogant , just not helpful and extremely inconsiderate. The semester has ended & she still hasn't posted grades.

Some words to describe Prof. Kelly: Disorganized, Rude, Unprofessional, Confusing, Arrogant, Ignorant, Opinionated. She thinks everyone should be as smart as she is b/c she has a PHD. Late to every class and makes you stay late b/c of it. No help at all. Doesn't hold office hours. By far the worst prof. I've ever had. Stay away... far away...

DO NOT TAKE AN ONLINE CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER. She is super unorganized and doesn't even check her emails to see if students are having issues. She has made so many errors on her part with Blackboard and it is a huge inconvenience when you plan to take a test for a specific time and it is not there. Does not know how to utilize BB properly.
