She is very sweet with an easy course load of work. For an english class, there are few essays and usually never longer than 5 pages. Many students don't show up to class and still do pretty well. However, her class was always very enjoyable and she notices who shows up consistently. Overall, an easy class and one of the sweetest professors.

Eng345W with Loflin is honestly one of the easiest classes you're going to find on Oxford campus, so if you have a hard load and just need another class, I HIGHLY recommended her class. You only have 4 papers and a final and she's super lenient on grading. However. This class was also the least stimulating class on campus, so take at your own risk.

Dr. Loflin is a nice person but this class was somewhat disorganized; we didn't even get a syllabus until October. Though it was sometimes hard to do the readings because of the disorganization, the grading on papers was quite easy and most of the papers that we wrote weren't very long. Make sure to participate in class!

An easy A class, but don't expect to become a better writer from it. She returns papers super late, and doesn't give much feedback (but I've always gotten As). CWL is basically reading books from authors around the world, and she chooses pretty good ones. Speaking up in class really helps her remember you. No tests, just a few short papers.

Dr. Loflin is so sweet! She's funny, genuine, and a tad cynical. I have taken two classes with her and plan to perhaps take another. My only gripe is that she is very slow at handing back essays (read: it has taken up to multiple months to receive a two-page paper back), but is always available to help you learn.

Not a stimulating class. We recently handed in our fourth and last paper before the final research paper, but so far we've only received one paper back gradedwith feedback. She's a really nice person and the readings are good, but the class is just not interesting. It's not killer hard though, which is greatly appreciated here at Oxford.

Its a relatively easy class, only 5 essays total on 5 books, and a research paper all semester. All the books are sparkenotable, and you don't need to know much more than that for the midterm essays. The midterm is relatively easy as well. But, the class is VERY boring, and you don't learn anything. Also, you don't really know ur grade, all semes

It's a really easy class. We only read books and write essays about them. Class is really boring & it drags on. But hey, it's an easy A.

Her lectures are rather repetitive and boring. But she is an easy and fair grader. Only had one quiz all semester and no tests. Grades were based on essays and papers, but the work was manageable. I recommend this class if you want a rather easy A

Dr. Loflin is a fair grader. She assigns reasonable amounts of reading during the week, more on the weekend than anyone might want but its not so bad. She never gives you rubrics for essays but she lets you rewrite the first one! As long as you're in class and put effort in, it's a class you can get an A in.

You read great books each of which covers a different subject. From Hamlet to the girl with the dragon tattoo I loved every book we read. She is a really nice person, but wants participation. So the discussions can be awkward if no one speaks. Grades fairly, but wants a loth of thought to be put into each piece. I would highly recommend this class.

I took her class thinking it would be an easy A, based off the previous comments I read. Dead wrong, she's gotten much harder this past year. (We think she saw the site and made her class harder) If you love reading victorian novels (like 200+ pages a night) then you might like this class. Otherwise, STAY AWAY. It will NOT help your GPA.

It's a required course and she teaches it that way. She's really nice and it's a fun class that's very discussion based (so you kind of have to do the reading but it's all pretty interesting) she's a pretty easy grader and it's not hard to get an A.
