Chuck is an amazing teacher, he is passionate about what he teaches, and has an incredible amount of knowledge to share. Get on his good side, he is an amazing mentor with a caring heart for his students that put in the work and deserve it. Tests are difficult (only short answer/long answer) but all his classes are worth the while.

Awesome professor! Love his lectures, very clear, informative, and entertaining. The textbook isn't needed as he gives awesome notes, as long as you attend each class and study off his material there should be no problem in achieving a high grade.

I've only had Chuck for three weeks and I think he is awesome. He obviously loves his field of study and his family (he talks about a lot). Super nice and chill. One of my favorites and there's a lot of great profs here. Thanks Chuck!

class is always interesting, and he's a great teacher. He's a tough marker so dont expect to coast. his tests are hard and require lots of memorization, but there are no surprises; go to class and study your notes well and you can do fine

Hated 310 with Chuck. I knew my notes inside out and backwards for both midterms and the final, and still ended with C's. Very hard for me to learn in that class! However, 315 and 408 with Chuck are MUCH better. He is much more laid back.

Trust me, I am not his favorite student. I went to Europe with him on a travel study and mainly focused on having fun while I was there. He may think very little of me, but I know one thing: He is a real teacher. You don't get through his classes without really learning something. Chuck, thank you, and I'm sorry.

Some may say he's too difficult, or has favourites; I really think that's because we like being lazy, and we hate it when we can't coast through a class. His classes have made me think outside of the box, and have actually made me buckle down and learn a LOT.

Who are these people giving Chuck low ratings? This is the best prof in the psych department, bar none - every class is interesting, informative, and full of stories from his life-long career counselling. Yes, you will have to study for the midterms and exam and actually know your material. The best prof in the psych department bar none.

I'm starting to believe that he doesnt really care about how his student's perform in class. He is the kind of professor who makes you think he knows it all. different students may see him differently because he treat different people differently, sorta like having favorites and what not. teaching wise, I guess he is ok.

Great Prof, interesting lectures: detailed, well presented and timed out. Makes the material come alive with real life examples and experiences, he has so much valuable knowledge being a prof and a therapist/counselor. Don't need the textbook. Take good notes and study them- memorize them and you'll do great on the tests.

Despite others' criticisms about him, I think his psych 301 course was the best course ever taken at university so far. The first midterm is killing hard, but the rest is quite far. It was an amazing course. I would definately take more of his courses in the future!

Excellent Prof. Knows exactly what he is talking about. Lectures are well thought out and thoroughly prepared for. Marking is fair, consistent, and meticulous. Many people have been calling him "arrogant" -- Hmm. Just because he recognizes who he is and his potential in life -- and strives to see other people do so too, does not make him arrogant.
