horrible teacher, but an easy class. assigns readings but never talks about them in class then tests over the material. 50% of all the classes watched movies about liberal crap that have no connection with the reading or topic. Not a fan of Dr. Terry. all the classes are the same. pointless class, didn't learn anything except for how liberal he is.

Okay, honestly, very easy class. I had him for intro. to sociology as well. Read the material and you'll get an A. Sometimes class feels worthless but if you honestly want to learn something the opportunity is there. Different perspective is nice. I'm taking another one of his classes next semester.

Very incoherent and unorganized. Felt like I was learning nothing in class. He showed a video and I had no idea what the point of the freaking video was. I dropped the class to take it with a better professor.

Easily the most worthless class I have ever taken. I can learn everything I learned in the full semester from Terry in one Michael Moore video. But, I can break the video because, unfortunately, I got stuck with this class. All the Terry sheep in this class made it completely unbearable. Easy A.

overall a pretty easy class. There is kind of alot of reading to do, but it isn't bad if you keep up with it. The tests questions came from the review sheet that he gave out, and he gave at least one option for extra credit. Very funny and interesting guy. I got an A..highly recommended.

Would you want your kids to be taught by an ex-inmate/ex-heroin addict? Well, if the answer is no, then you probably wouldn't want to have Chuck as your professor yourself. Only talks about prison, and "the man." Rambling incoherently does not adequately describe him.

This is one of the worst professors I have ever had at this university. His lectures ramble and make little to no sense. I felt at a disadvantage in my subesequent sociology classes because he wasted class time on things like "meditating." Take this class with a real prof - not an ex-crackhead.

Dr. Terry is a very good professor and you can learn a lot. This class was really easy but I recomend to take for another reason. You can get a totally new vision of the CJ system and after his class you can apreciate more what you have. I would recomend everybody take his clas!!!

MOST INTERESTING class I have ever taken. Its impossible to have gone through what he did and not be bias. This class will open your eyes to the injustice done by the criminal justice system. The class isnt hard, you do have to be pretty dumb to get a bad grade. Fun teacher to share stories with.

Its hillarious to watch this ex-inmate-ex-heroin addict teach the white washed straights that go to SLU. He puts his heart into his lectures. If you just THINK, his class is easy and fun.

If you disagree with him, it is uncomfortable to voice your opinions in class. Instead of using class time to teach people to think critically, he conveys his own agenda. A fairly decent person though. Go to class, keep up in the readings, use the study guide, and you should be able to get an "A".

Yeah, he does talk about prison, but it is a really interesting class. What other teacher will u take that is an ex-heroin addict with a PhD? Take it because its not hard, the readings are interesting (Fast Food Nation) and he gives a different perspective than most teachers.

He talks about prison too much.He is unclear in his lectures, it is clear he took too many drugs in his lifetime.Attendence policy is strick and he is extremely bias.

If you cant get a good grade in this clas you are STUPID.I recommend this class for people who don't even have to take it.It is incredibly interesting if you have 1/2 a brain. He may not be the most loquatious man in the world but he is humble and knows the real story on stuff, tests are mult choice

He pretty much talks about the same stuff in all of his classes, he is really bias about the CJ system but as long as you go to class and take as many notes as possible and do the readings youll do fine on the tests. Just study and look over his study guide!

Dr. Terry is a nice guy, but he does talk about his prison experiences a lot. He doesn't give a study guide for his exams, and there is A LOT of reading for them.Every aspect of the reading will be on the tests. I found it interesting, but it is not a class to be lazy in!!
