TAKE SOMEONE ELSE. She is very mean and unwilling to help students. I do not know why she is a teacher when she clearly does not like it. She has almost no practical knowledge of finance whatsoever, so especially avoid her if you are a Finance major.

Comment:

I hated this class. Reminded me of high school with tons of busy work. Her class is flipped, so you watch the lectures at home and do homework in class. The exam's are very similar to the assignments she assigns, but the final exam is ridiculous. Usual exams are 5-8 MC, and the final had 40MC and eight pages of problems. The final cost me my grade.

Kinda grumpy and doesn't seem to like her students. Lots of busy work. Lectures are given online and class time is used for homework. Tests are similar to the many homework assignments.

This class has insane amount of work. You spend the classes doing problems, and watch recorded lectures outside of class. You will do hw, watch lectures, do excel hw, and finish up classwork all outside of class. But if you keep up, the class is not hard. Exams are the same as classwork. Crutchley is a little scatter-brained, but a nice person

All projects and papers, completely subjective based on how much she likes you or her current mood. If she feels like you deserve a certain grade, she will find enough petty things wrong with your project to make that grade so. Also, she isn't very knowledgable and gets annoyed when you try to get help.

She records her lectures and expects you to watch them out of class. Class time is for doing the assignments. She checks the assignment as you do it in class so it's not hard to do well. Tests are a little long but almost exactly like the assignment problems just with different numbers. Doesn't scale but not too hard to do well. Don't buy the book.

She requires many reports, presentations, discussions, probably the most time consuming course I ever take. Also grades very subjectively. She gives good grades if she is happy that day but give bad grades with absurd comments if she is not happy that day. Articles that we discussed are good, but other parts of the course are terrible!

Overall thought this class was pretty easy. You get a 4x6 notecard for each test so I hardly studied for tests. She has a flipped classroom style where you watch lecture outside of class on your time and work on her assignment in class, but she always spent the first 25 min reviewing the lecture which was annoying. Easy class but a lot of busy wrk

flipped classroom method. video lectures online, repeat lectures in class and hw assignments done in class. videos have a lot of technical issues and background noise. takes off points on hw for stupid things like no % sign or not labeling graphs. don't need the textbook. will give you help if you need it. Like a high school class with busy work.

People may complain about her, but I absolutely loved this class. I thought she explained everything. There is a ton of homework, but helps you prepare for the tests. Tests are straight from the busy work. Go to class, do the assignments, study, and you will make an A.

good teacher. explains things well, and the notes are very useful when it comes to doing the problem sets and studying for tests. you can bring a note card to the tests, too. acts kinda goofy sometimes, but it's funny more than anything else.come to class, take down the notes, and do the homework (it's usually pretty short) and you should do fine.
