Comment:

One of the VERY BEST professors I've ever had at SFU. She makes everything fun and engaging. Very understanding prof and goes out of her way to help! She has a good sense of humour as well. Just memorize the vocab for each lesson and the tests are designed for a beginner's level! Highly recommend if you get the chance.

Comment:

Claudia is easily one of my favourite professors at SFU, she cares about her students and makes learning a new language fun and engaging. The class has vocab quizzes almost every class but if you study for these it helps translate to the tests. As long as you put in the effort to learning and practicing you should do well.

Comment:

Took German with Claudia for three years, and I loved every class. She cares about you and your grade, and will try her hardest to help you out. She is clear about what are on the module tests, and always offers class time to review questions. Vocab quiz every class (she offers a Quizlet she makes herself) and a module test (3 units) every 2 weeks.

100% the best professor I ever had at SFU! She is super super nice, makes everything very clear, and gives lots of hints for the exams. She's very organized and punctual, and also very funny. You can tell that she genuinely cares that her students learn and have fun in her class, and tries to make it as engaging as possible. 10/10 would recommend

Awesome prof! Very nice and friendly, very clear, easy A if you do the homework (vocab tests every week, excercises, participation, 4 big tests, no papers, no final). Fun class (music, games, group works).

Claudia was great! Very engaging prof, lots of cultural knowledge since she's actually German. Easy marks from daily vocab quizzes. Learn the vocab, attend class, ask questions if you don't understand a point and you'll do fine. She is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Comment:

Really nice lady, and wants her class to do well. However, I find that she does not spend enough time going over the important things and she rushes through every lesson and spends more time on useless things. It made for tests to be extremely difficult because she didn't thoroughly go over what we needed to know the most. Not a bad class though.

Not really great... had that "I don't want to teach" mentality though so I didn't find her anything special. Writing was messy and she rushes through things. Pros were that she showed music videos and she was never late.

Claudia is the best prof i met ever in SFU, enjoy her class so much. She makes the class fun and always available for extra help. If you follow her and do your HW , you will be fine in the exams, BTW, there is no final in her class : )

Claudia was an awesome professor! She had a fun and engaging way of learning a new language/culture. I loved the music videos she showed in class and her tests were good tests of our knowledge; fair marker I recommend this professor and course to anyone interested in learning a new language and who enjoys interacting with others in a group setting.

I enjoy the ways that Claudia teaches in both 102 and 103 sections, what you can learn not only the knowledge but also the cultures, a lot of interesting thing you cannot learn from the textbooks.Thanks to Claudia, her classes alleviate my stresses from my intense university life and make me delight!!I must take the 300 level class with Claudia.

Fabulous, absolutely fabulous. Claudia genuinely cares about her students. It is obvious that she puts a lot of thought into planning her lessons. We did a variety of role-playing, listening, and written activities which are all key in learning German. Anyone who says different evidently has no desire to learn the language.
