Professor Duran, he prefers to be called as Claudio, is VERY FANTASTIC. He is extremely passionate in teaching. He cares about every student in class, and I mean EVERY STUDENT. Prof Claudio is frighteningly intelligent and quite funny. He is incredibly humble and patient too. His teaching methods and selected readings are the perfect combination for a truly meaningful learning experience. I wont be able to take his summer course for credits, but I may just show up and sit in the back anyways because he is just that good.

Had him for Schools & Media. Claudio is the best prof I ever had.. He cares so genuinely for his students and their development that it truly inspires you. He is just a wonderful person, and a delightful and insightful prof. If you have the opportunity to take a class of his, please do.. I wish I could take another one with him.. HE IS THE BEST!

what a great human being!...he truly cares about his students, he's willing to come early or stay back late if u are in need of help..he wants everyone to do well and you can see that when he gives out the grades..but overall he's so great to talk to..values everones opinions even if they go against his personal view. i wish he could teach forever!

What has been said of Claudio is true. He is a very passionate professor who loves what he teaches and gives 100 percent of himself to his students. He is a bit unclear at times though, and he is a bit egotistical. However, it can be overlooked as he does a great job of teaching.

Professor Duran is by far the most compassionate and knowledgeable teacher at York. He takes extra time from his busy schedule to spend with students. He is absolutely a dying breed in teaching. We will miss him immensely when he retires in 2 years
