This is an English class, therefore youll have to read a lot. At times the reading assignments can be overwhelming. The quizzes are really easy if you read the stories. The forums are easy. Make sure to start the exams as soon as possible because they are long and tedious. Make sure to do the paper as early as possible as well.

This class is a nightmare. Two months in, we'd submitted over a dozen assignments and only ONE of those had been graded. The bulk of your grade is determined by a major project, the instructions for which are extremely unclear. The project itself is needlessly difficult. I had to withdraw from the class.

I took this class online during the summer so it was very fast paced. It wasn't hard, but it was a lot of work. We had to read 2-4 stories a week and do discussion posts and quizzes on them, and a 2000 word paper at the end of the semester. It's an easy A if you put in the effort.

You work for your grade in this class but for an online class it was not that bad. You do use your book. Assignments are due every Wed night and Sat. night. Instructions are clear on all material. Its an easy A or B just gets frustrating to keep up with assignments but that's expected from all online classes. I would take it again.

You definitely use the anthology she assigned. You have weekly quizes and forum posts on reading assignments out of the anthology. The midterm and final are open book. She expects you to answer straight from her handouts or forums. However, she also expects you to site every source. Overall, a very easy English class.

Assigns weekly readings. doesn't sound so bad but I'm not finished- posts numerous websites/articles you have to read along with lecture, also has weekly discussion boards and initial posts are on WED, that requires you to have read it b/t sun and wed. do not take if you are more than 12 hrs. Unnecessarily time consuming. Feedback was vague

Be prepared to read, a lot! She grades based on grammar. Takes much longer to grade things than a teacher should. She does not give good constructive criticism and I honestly enjoyed this class until I got my graded essay back with 18 points off and her only feedback was "Awkward".

Obviously someone who cares deeply about English but is too nit-picky and meticulous when it comes to grading. This lady needs to loosen up! Definitely my most time consuming class this semester, something to think about before taking her. I wouldn't do it again.

I had put off taking an English course for many years because I'm not a very good writer. I wish I hadn't though. The slower pace of this online class helped me tremendously. I had months to prepare my compositions (instead of in class like some courses), and I miraculously made a B! Worth taking if you've been out of college a long time.

She "teaches" her online class by posting a few lecturettes and mostly outside websites and magazine articles. She gives no feedback in terms of actual story analysis. Her grading is almost solely based on grammar, and I am dissapointed in her teaching approach. She will also take several weeks to grade even a basic forum post.

she really is a good teacher, but i think taking her in person would really be better than online. Reading her lectures were interesting, so i would have loved to hear them. and she really knows her stuff. she challenges you to think, which is rare these days...

I took her class online during the summer. The assignments were easy and she provided enough time to complete them including papers. Read the material and you will do well. Her mid-term and final exams are more involved than weekly tests. She allows days to complete the exams (you will need the time). I liked the class and she is fair to students.

She could be a really great teacher if she cared about her students and if she would allow you to interpret stories the way you comprehend it. Also, if she don't butcher your paper on simple errors.

i took online poetry and put little effort and did well. You respond to her post with your opinion and then when you get participation credit she'll tell you the answer that will be on the test. I didn't buy a book. i looked poems assigned up on google. the biggest problem will be remembering to post on time. test are 2 a semester at school

She's a good professor. I took her online class. It was okay. I probably would have enjoyed her lectures better, but had to take it online because of scheduling. Group discussions were okay.

This was an excellent class. She is tough but also very fair. She expects nothing but the best from her students. I found her to be extremely helpful and still go by her office from time to time to get her advice on papers. If you are wanting to become a better writer (grammer, punctuation, etc.), she is the teacher you would want to take.
