I had Teresa for SPN 202 and though the class was difficult for me, this is partially due to the fact that my high school Spanish courses did not prepare me for a lot of speaking. There is a decent amount of oral involved so if your skills are lacking, it will require a little more hard work.

Comment:

I had Teresa for both 201 and 202 and I'm SO GLAD I had her as a professor. She is one of the only profs that I met that genuinely care about her students. She explains things well and helps you whenever you need it. She's nonjudgmental and understandingGetting a B isn't that hard but you gotta wok for the A. If you can, get her! She's wonderful.

Loveeee Teresa. She makes class so enjoyable, and she's really easy to talk to. She loves what she does and she loves her students. She explains the material very well and is wiling to go over it an infinite amount of times until everyone understands it. Tests stick to to the material, so there's no surprises. Great class, Great teacher.

She makes class interesting and helps you feel comfortable speaking the language in front of the class. She genuinely cares about her students (something I haven't seen from 2 previous spanish teachers). She always takes the first 10 minutes of class to speak in spanish about some current events which really helps strengthen your listening.

Teresa is a great teacher, she genuinely cares about her students, taking interest in their lives outside of class. If you show up to class and do the work you can get a B without much difficulty, however you will have to work for that A. If you can, take any Spanish class with her, she makes a normally boring class fun.

Who doesnt love Teresa! She's fabulous! If you can take her, take her! She loves the spanish language and always makes herself available to students. She wants you to do well. She posts all grades online and all assignments. She grades fairly and returns things very quickly! Recommended highly :)

I am a Senior graduating in May and Teresa is honestly the best and most caring professor I have had at Miami so far. She is interested in the lives of her students and has dedicated her career to improving the diversity of Miami University, which is no easy task. Count yourself lucky if you can take one of her classes.

Amazing teacher. She is so helpful and caring, its hard not to get a good grade. Usually teaches on tuesday thursdays. I hadn't had spanish for 3 years when i took her class, and she helped me relearn everything perfectly.

Teresa is an amazing teacher!!! She is very helpful and does her best to make a hard curriculum easy. Also, she doesn't give quizzes because she believes they lower morale. Extremely good teacher and an even better person. Definitely request her if you can.

The format of SPN 201 sucks pretty bad. (6 Exams in a semester. At one point we only had 2 classes between exams) However, that's not Teresa's fault, it is the Spanish department's. She's very smart and enthusiastic, and was very patient with me even after I was a bit of a hassle the first couple of weeks.

She is a really nice woman and cares a lot about getting to know her students. She's probably been one of my most helpful teachers at Miami. I definitely recommend her.
