I would recommend taking this online class. It is a lot of work but you get from Monday until Sunday to finish it. Colleen is very understanding and responds pretty fast. Everything is online.

Take business ethics ONLINE!! She makes it clear what she wants each week plus she usually doesnt grade things until weeks later. Accepts late and makeup work towards the end of the semester so its IMPOSSIBLE not to get an A. I barely put in work. GET THE BOOK! Quizzes are based off of it so read it. Its not bad and actually interesting.

I took PHI150 online thinking it would be like most online classes, independent study basically. This was not the case at all. The beginning of the semester was fine, but if you get behind good luck. Fair on grading however not clear on exactly what she was looking for. BEWARE OF "GROUP PROJECTS". 1 thing i didn't understand for this class.

Comment:

Burns is a good teacher. Stern but not over the top but also could be fun. A lot of workbook work but the class is very easy and burns is very understanding. Don't mess around in her class and you'll have no problem.

100% online. When she gives you a rubric, follow it and you will get an A on that assignment. There were quizzes that you can take up to 3 times, this is very helpful for learning what you didn't know. There are debates with rubrics, participate a little more than asked and you will get an A. Anyone who honestly tries hard will get an A !!!

I took the online class and it wasn't bad at all. She was very clear each week with what needed to be accomplished and by when. I never felt confused in this course thanks to prof. burns and her super detailed assignments. We had to do discussion topics, current events, and journals depending on the week. One major debate as a final and thats it!

Homework due every class- easy to moderate takes 20-30 minutes. Must buy her book- barely used, but need it for assignments. Can miss class here and there. 2 exams- 2 quizzes. If you do the homework you can get mid B to A on exams. Overall not a difficult course- Burns is laid back and means well. Does not appreciate cell phones in class.

I really enjoyed having ms. Burns as a teacher for PHI 115. If you email her she is there for you and responds with great feedback. Taking her again for PHI101. Put in the effort and you are guaranteed an A

I had a 97 in her class until I decided to slack. An A is definitely possible but you have to put in effort. It is philosophy ethics, so there is a lot of interpretation that needs to be correctly justified based on the material. Reading her assignments will be important. PowerPoint lectures, group discussions, writing assignments.

Prof. Burns was an awesome prof. to have! I took the online course for PHI150 & I highly recommend it to anyone! There is assignments every week, but they are do-able! There are online discussions among the other students in the class. It's an interesting course. Overall, a great online class & defiantly think you should take it!

I took Professor Burns for PHI 150 online along with 4 more classes at my home university. She assigned a fair amount of work and was very clear at all times of what she expected from us. She set up a board where we could ask her questions and she usually answered within 24 hours. I would highly recommend her . The class is not difficult!

I'm taking her online course and it is really simple and straightforward. She is very organized and well prepared. I was hesitant about taking her because of her rating on this site, but it's simply misleading. I recommend that you take her online too. Class is very easy and actually interesting. You will need to buy the books. They are cheap.

Poor teaching skills, seems to ramble and confuse the class. Gives WAY TOO MUCH WORK. Very critical and a tough grader. I would recommend taking another professor.

Honestly, I don't recommend her at all. She makes no sense, way to much homework, think ur life revolves around this class. Her in class things and her answers make no sense. It's feels as if u have to think her way and her way only, If not its wrong. She has no idea how to use the computer majority of the time.

She goes overboard with homework giving several online assignments every class. She is correct maybe 2/3 of the time and her answers with inclass work are inconsistent with homework. She uses a lot of technology in her class but is not tech savvy. I do like how she allows you to take online quizes more than once. But overall I would not recommend.

Lots of reading from the book but all the readings are short (under 15 pages). Allows multiple tries for each quiz. Very easy in class tests. Homework every week but it's not very time consuming. She does like have students work in groups a lot which got a little old. There is also a debate as the last project.
