Very entertaining and engaging teacher! Fun class! Just show up, take good notes, and enjoy it! I didn't use the textbook much, except for exams (midterm and final) but I am glad I had it. The workbook however, is essential. Homework every week, but they are 5-10 min assignments and very easy. He loves to help you succeed. Take his class!!!

As a shy student who became a communications major, I wish I hadn't taken public speaking with Breit. He was very harsh and critical and would mark down grades on things like the tone of your voice or power point theme. Hard for someone trying to improve their speaking skills. He made me feel like I'd never be a good public speaker.

I'm glad I took this class w/ Breit, he may go off topic in lecture occasional but he does impart some very valuable information that I did find helpful in real life application. Attending ALL classes, and doing your homework will help, but you will want to read the text book. Reading the book is the reason I feel I got a "B" and not an "A".

Professor Breit is awesome! He is helpful and movitational. Speaking in public isn't easy, but he makes you comfortable. 3 speeches, all worth the same amount, plus two tests (midterm and final) also worth the same amount. I will miss prof Breit when this semester is over!

I had a lot of fun in class- Breit has a great sense of humor. There are only 3 speeches given, and he grades them in an in-depth manner. If you don't have public-speaking experience this class can be incredibly difficult. It is better for those trying to hone pre-existing abilities.

Professor Breit is a great teacher! He's very dedicated to his work and takes pride in what he teaches. No BS in this class! Homework is easy, test can be hard if you don't study but overall WORTH EVERY DIME! TAKE HIS CLASS! To pass, you have to have the desire to succeed otherwise you'll just waste his time and yours! Good luck!

An awesome teacher and very helpful. Takes his job seriously and you get your money's worth in his class. A lot of HW but they are easy. Tests are kind of hard but if you study then it's a breeze. Mr. Breit is entertaining and no oral presentation or projects to do. the class is mainly lecture and some group activities. I got a B in the class.

At first I dreaded the idea of a Friday night class, but how wrong I was! The class was laughing from the first moment as Prof. Breit is funny and very animated. He's a little nitpicky on grading, but gives good feedback. Homework is easy, tests are harder and there's no extra credit, so good attendance is key. You won't regret taking this class!

It never felt like I was coming to class; it was more like going to a group discussion because he is so fun! I don't think I've ever gone through ten minutes without laughing in his class. Homework assignments are easy, midterms and finals are not bad if you study. A-quality teacher. I would definitely take him again.

One of the best, funniest, and most entertaining profs at OCC. Coursework is easy, homework is usually every week but very simple. Tests are the hardest part but only count for about 1/3 of the final grade. Easy if you pay attention and participate.

Very good professor and the class is very easy. The only 2 bad things is that he has homework every week so you have to go to class and his midterm and final are long winded (100 questions). BUT, if you do all the homework and get a decent grade, you can literally fail the midterm and final. Great class though!
