Comment:

Professor Bishop is a very interesting person with a passion for her job. Her lectures were often very creative and inspiring, much more interesting than most CHC profs. The one notable downside was that she was extremely liberally biased. She cried several times in front of the class because she was talking about politics. All in all, pretty good.

Such a funny and interesting person. Classes consist only of discussion and she always makes you feel welcome to say whatever your opinions are. Very tough grader, makes you work for it and expects a lot of HC students. You'll read a book and write a paper each week.

Professor Bishop has all the qualities of a great professor. During group discussions she makes everyone feel comfortable to say everything on their mind, she is easy to talk to in person and gives great advice. She is also incredibly passionate about teaching and her students' success. If you can at all take her I highly recommend it.

Bishop is by far my favorite teacher. She is really goofy and fun, and also insanely knowledgeable. The way she teaches makes me feel like I'm discovering the information for myself, rather than actually learning it. She's a bit disorganized but it just makes classes a little more casual. Take her if you can, she's great!

Professor Bishop is my favorite teacher in the honors college. She is incredibly intelligent, but she really likes to just have fun in class. She is flexible with deadlines, just ask her ahead of time.

Professor Bishop was the most engaging, amusing, and alert professor I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. She is neither patronizing nor overly tough. She pushes you to be the best you can be without attacking you. I looked forward to her class every day.

If you don't like this professor or the way she teaches, then something has to be wrong with you! I agree with all the other comments - Not only is she brilliant and passionate about the subject she teaches, she's also funny and makes class worth attending. On top of all that, she's extremely attentive to the needs of her students - She cares!

Other professors should be taking lessons on how to teach from her! She is truly inspiring and her enthusiasm in the classroom is contagious. Outside the class, she is very helpful and quite fun to be around. Highly recommended to everyone! Only professor in the Honors College that managed to keep my interest in what they were teaching!

Professor Bishop is brilliant, witty and fair. I don't like lit classes, but her class was interesting and the grading system (how the essays were divided up) was great. She cares if you understand the impotant concepts of the readings, not if you memorized characters' names and quotes. The essays were very open-ended. She's great!

She loves what she teaches and is very funny. (Invokes a lot of sex into the literature and likes to allude to it frequently but its very comical). She's engaging and helpful but her writing assignments are so open-ended they can be graded subjectively and she favors arguments she agrees with. Not a very structured class but she is very funny.

Louise Bishop is one of the reasons I haven't dropped out of the Honors College. She actually makes her class interesting and makes a sincere attempt to get her students interested in the material. She is also very funny, and always willing to help. The woman should be giving some sort of award for being such an inspiration. She's quite amazing
