Comment:

Hes a nice guy and everything. But h expected you to get it right away. If you ask him a question he looks at you like you are dumb. I thought myself every thing I learned in is class. Does group quiz but, the test are hard he does give you the formula you have to memorize them. So dont take him unless you are good at math.

Comment:

I can tell he is a nice guy and cares about his students but that is the only good part of class. He excepts everything to know the information and when asked to explain something he looks at you wondering why you didnt get it the first time. There is no participation beside board points and if u dont show work he gets mad he never shows how tho.

I took him my freshman year, he is a good guy. For you to be able to succeed in his classroom is putting in the effort, engaging with him during class time to be able to understand the material. He doesn't check homework even though he assigns it every night, but do it. It will pay off, and most of the questions are answered during class.

awful teacher. expect yo to know everything. DOES NOT TEACH EFFICENTLY. whole class was lost, confused, and struggling. he could not see that was a tell -tell sign of his horrible teaching. totally oblivious. Goes off topic. no structure to class, just jumble all over the board.!!!! No consideration for non-math majors.

The only good thing about his class is he lets you take group quizzes. Other than that, I do not recommend him as a teacher. He is too smart to teach such a low level of math. He moves from chapter to chapter very quickly and does not really care if you understand the material or not. Makes easy things harder than what they have to be.

He is a nice guy, however his class is extremely difficult. He makes it seem like some of the work was easy when it clearly wasnt. He tried to make extremely hard math simple. He was terrible and explaining things and expected you to already know it. Would not recommend him, period.

He often expects you to understand an equation or math problem after an extremely brief explanation. He is very closed minded, and shows little concern for his students. I took a basic Astronomy class because I have always been interested in the night sky. The course was all math, the science part of the course just wasn't there. No matter what we did he found a way to relate it to numerous mathematical equations. He has a quiz every week and his final was cumulative. Make sure math is your life because it's his.

gotta love will ferrel. i was terrified in the beginning of the semester, but if you show effort, you'll get a good grade. extra credit points for going to the board saved me (each hwk problem you do on the board counts as a point on a test, so my 70% test was a 100% by the end of the semster, and i got an A)

made fun of students when they asked for help. great for other courses but not lower level ones - cant bring himself down to the level of non-math majors. Nice guy, really shocked how this class turned out usually he would help people not make them have panic attacks.
