Doc is definitely revered at Moraine for being this great, funny guy. I thought that too at one point until I had him. Class wise, you just gotta show up, participate, and pay attention. Youll pass with flying colors. Personality/socially wise, hes extremely insensitive and makes female students uncomfortable with sexual innuendo. Enough said.

Only negatives were bad handwriting, sometimes shady, and never know your grade. If you are in honors, TAKE HIM FOR THE SUMMER. All plays are paid for, only three papers, and a take home final, though we had a reflection paper. He is very smart and loves discussion.

Highly recommend Dr. Rosen for THE 105. I took this class in the summer, and we got the opportunity to go watch plays every Thursday in downtown Chicago. All our tickets were covered by the school, but this class was limited to honor students only. We had to right 3 critical papers, and a final paper. This class was amazing!

For being not very interested in western history, Dr. Rosen really gets you thinking. Yes, he does have lengthy lectures but they're simple and effective. We took notes, took 3 exams the whole semester and had to write a short paper. The class was simple and Dr. Rosen was very helpful.

He doesn't use blackboard so you never know what you're getting in the class. He tells you to study for tests that you don't know what to study for he tells you to put up your phone and talk to you like your kid his class a waste of time and a waste of money he's the worst

Craig Rosen is by far one of the best teachers I've had the pleasure of having in my college career. If you're passionate about the arts, any class taught by him is something you must take. You show up, do the work, you get the A. He's willing to help his students and goes above and beyond for them. Take his classes there great!

Doc is Great! His acting class is by no means a blow off class. Definitely take this class if you are passionate about performing. You'll read about 6 plays and have a text book and tests, but if you do the work it's an easy A+. You will be expected to see the fall show and one outside play, and write a paper, but student tickets are cheap.

I had him for Theater Appreciation (review below) and I took him for Acting 1. Acting was A BLAST. It's a lot of fun and yeah, there is reading, but it's pretty light. Show up though! He cares and wants you to do well. People think he's mean but he either tells it straight or is joking. Sometimes it's hard To get his humor. Very casual class

He is more difficult than you'd expect but he lays out his expectations the very first day of class. Allows for extra credit. Passion for what he teaches but expects us to take it seriously... It's college. Don't take it as a blow off but really worthwhile if you're interested.

Great teacher. Tough but worth it. Took for elective makes you work for grade. If you don't show up you won't pass 10 quizzes 5 tests lowest test and quiz are dropped. offers EC. have to see 2 mantory plays & write 3pg critque of it. Was the only down side.

First I thought the class would be fun to take and pretty easy until class went further along. He can be very mean. He expects so much with doing papers than a communications teacher would. The chapters he assigns to read are very long. He EXPECTS all of his students there every day. i dropped the class because I felt overwhelmed with his criteria

Mr Rosen seemed like a decent teacher at first but a time progressed I realized he actually wasn't teaching anything, he basically tells everyone to read a play then you take a quiz THEN we discuss It and he goes off topic!!! With the tests he doesn't prepare you WHAT SO EVER. If you need a humanities I suggest avoiding him at all costs!

He's a great guy. His acting class is fun to take regardless if you're new to it or a veteran. As long as you put forth the effort, read the plays, and go to see outside shows like he wants you too then you're basically safe. Don't worry so much as well. It's NOT an easy A, it's a well deserved A. He's also funny as well.

Expensive class!! Be prepared to pay for shows outside of class and a new book eveytime you read a new play. Puts up well with students who don't want to be there, but expects everyone to love theatre as much as him..

Not a blow of class! Only take his classes if you're interested in THE & are willing to do the work. He's passionate, laid back, really helpful and understanding, and super easy to talk to. It's just a lot of work and the slides are long and boring. I love this class and wish I could take him again as a teacher.

Doc is awesome. Some people don't like him, but I think it's mostly the ones that are taking theater as a blow-off. He's really enthusiastic about theater history- that's what I'm taking him for. He's smart with a great sense of humor. He's very passionate and makes class super fun. If you need to take a theater class, take it with Doc!
