I love Doc. I don't like botany so his section of 182 was not interesting to me. He's really nice, easy to talk to and quick witted. Nothing will stand out to me more than when he shut down this cocky know-it-all kid in my class. He's struggling to put up quiz answers. Kid says "1 is C." Doc goes "You don't have to tell me the answers, I know them"

Comment:

One of the best professors at Trinity. Challenging, but very clear of expectations. Requires you to go beyond memorization and actually learn. Much more interesting than I expected. Very student-oriented and helpful, but you need to ask.

Comment:

A tough teacher, and one of the two hardest teachers in Biology-182. He does appreciate when kids come see him, and is helpful outside of class. WILL NOT SPOON FEED YOU. He requires you to do the work, but he will correct you if your wrong. Has a good personality and can relate to people well.

Course very hard if you don't have prior biology experience.Lectures are okay. Professor tries to be helpful&will make time to meet with you but often not enough if you don't know bio. Takes a certain type of person to understand the stuff covered in class. Takes up A LOT of time between lectures&lab.Lab will often go til5&you go off campus for it

Schneider is great, the classes are interesting, the labs aren't too tough, although from what I hear, that depends on precisely what he wants you to look for. Tests really arent bad at all, but instead of normally studying(Books etc), it is best to just sit back and think "what would he want us to know about this?" if you do such, you'll do well

Nice guy. His exams are rather preposterous, though. You can study for hours, but it doesn't matter. These exams are designed to trick you. With a 90% or greater average, the 4th exam was optional. Of 30 students maybe 2 weren't there for the final. When he goes "off book" during lectures, not looking at his script, he screws up and babbles.

Great lectures, very nice and knowledgable guy. Tests were very difficult, mostly essays that tested "reason" instead of knowledge of course material (not 152 style). Labs (w/ windows!) were easy, lots of field trips and pointless projects, opportunities for XC when you're not doing well.
